Both are incredible passion tales!

Both mainleads are Reborn, since their fate ended so tragically in the past life.

Both Male Leads are madly and irrevocably in love with their heroines.

Female protagonist (Shu Qi) realizes her feelings for her male best friend (Feng Shaofeng) only after he announces his wedding to someone else. She races to stop the wedding and win him back.

"My Dearest" is one of my all-time favorite K-dramas. When I was watching "The Tale of Lady Ok", I was amazed by the similarities between them. You wouldn't regret giving it a chance. I won't talk much as I don't want to spoil it. But they are similar in almost all aspects!

The greatest similarity is how they both show us that even time cannot come between their love for each other!

“LOVE TRANSENDS TIME!”

The other focuses on reliving a moment that is rewinding time out of the love for the significant other while the other focuses on sacrificing their time out of love for the significant other.

- Male leads both have moments where they just pause, and watch the chaos unfold around them

- Both thriller Dramas
- Decapitation happens in both series

Difference:
- Kingdom has only two season, while Alice in borderland currently has only three seasons
- Kingdom is set in Josean Dynasty
- Alice borderland is set in modern times, but is a space between life and death
- Alice in borderland is adapted from a manga, while Kingdom is adapted from a webtoon
- Kingdom is a South Korean Drama
- Alice in borderland is a Japanese Drama
- Kingdom is about a zombie virus spreading with power struggles, while Alice in borderland is about a death game, which is more pschological
- Alice in borderland has more romance then Kingdom does

Both are revenge themed historical dramas. The whole family/clan was massacred.
The male leads are extremely smart/genious and both don't really know how to fight.

Despite having different storylines here are some notable similarities:

-slow burn romance.
-mature/ calm vibes.
-family setting, how family impacts one’s upbringing and view of life.
-may give the impression of boring storylines but offer depth and need patience to wrap your head around how everything unfolds.

Two world/time-explorers with their own motives, one experienced, the other new to it. Male-lead drama. Maybe hints of at least strong bromance in The Company (censored danmei in The Spirealm).

Good (unexpectedly good) production values. Pretty good ED song, nice OP, too.

If you like Dark Romance you'll love this series. Just give it a try. The production quality, acting, cinematography everything's just so perfect.

The plot is not really similar, but they both have similar vibes
Also the ML is down bad for the FL

Both have the similar plot: FL witnesses her husband cheating on her, dies that day and is reborn as the mistress, and decides to take revenge in this new body.

Kasumi Arimura as main character on both movie. The story has similar plot about someone who has someone else's memories.

Slice of life/melodrama-leaning dramas with a focus on what it means to be a family and to navigate challenges, trauma and love.

Both FLs lost their families and status and now live in a rural village. Both MLs are princes who are injured, lose their memory, and lied to by the FL/her family in order for the FL to avoid an unwanted marriage because of a royal decree that all unmarried women must marry. Both leads have a past childhood connection.
