It has similar format/concept (using virtual conversations). Also, it's one of the few first Filipino BLs getting popularity this year.

While both have the word ghost in the title, there are more similarities between the two dramas. One is the mystery of each show; in each drama, the FML has a close connection to the perpetrator. While Bring It On, Ghost has a few more supernatural abilities than Catch the Ghost, and both leading couples are adorable.

I immediately thought of this when I read the description. You will not be disappointed with life on Mars.

In Forest and Descendants of the Sun, both leads are officers (in Forest, the male lead is partly a rescue officer) and doctors (the female lead is a doctor). There is little to no love triangle with the leads, and both female leads are kind-hearted doctors. The story also occurs in a remote place. While DOTS focused more on Argus and the children, Forest focuses on the elderly who are poisoned by the village's running water. In both stories, the female lead has been kidnapped to threaten the male lead.

Both dramas have divorce struggles and children that are suffering in this situation, both female characters have difficult relationships with their parents.

the last story of girl from nowhere kind of reninded me of girls in the dark. The characters all have secrets and are all unreliable narrators. Both stories are filled with lots of turns and twists and even the endings are kind of similar.

It works through similar themes and has a similar aesthetic to Before We Get Married:

- Female lead is in a bad relationship, and her ex later places a significant role in the drama.
- Both relationships are kept secret/are taboo for different reasons
- Similar action moments later in the drama
- Has a similar approach to dealing with themes of marriage, adulthood, relationships, fidelity, sex, the workplace, etc.
