One deals with the filmmaking world and body image among university students, while the other is about a toxic workplace environment and the restaurant industry among adults. The main leads between the two dramas kinda look similar too.

Both are an easy binge watch.

The highschool era dynamics between the main leads reminds me of each other but the present is not so similar but both have great actors that will make you want to watch more.

Both works feature death game struggles among the players. They have to clear the games in order to survive.

Twilight Samurai is set around the time during the Boshin War and before Meiji restoration and it similarly deals with a samurai struggling to make ends meet and support his family just like Shujiro in Last Samurai Standing

Badass female lead gets revenge punishing the bullies who treated her life like a joke plans and strategically takes them down one by one unraveling secrets on the way

Badass female lead both fighting for what they believe on fully in the grey doing everything to get theirs whether its right or wrong

Battle Royale is considered to be the first movie with the "death game" premise and inspired other movies and shows that featured similar concepts. It no doubt has some influence on this drama as well.

Both are set in eras where samurai have lost their positions and deemed worthless. The samurai were left to literally forage for scraps because of lack of work and some had to resort to drastic measures just to survive.

Revenge as the main course

Both shows are powered by one core energy: “I suffered. Now everyone else will too.”
The leads in both dramas rebuild their entire lives around getting justice for past trauma. No side quests. No distractions. Pure revenge cardio.

Both have a female lead who is NOT soft, not innocent — but calculated and brilliant. If Queen Mantis gave you that “I support women’s wrongs” energy… The Resurrected does the SAME.

There is more than 1 love interest (1 of them being his best friend) in both of them

The best friend is jealous whenever the mc interacts with any of the love interests

without giving too much spoilers, both are tragic love stories that both of them are willing to sacrifice themselves to save the other and be together, one is a historical bl and one has some elements of it, both are supernatural. I highly recommend checking kill to love if you liked the main leads dynamic.

Both involve a semi-dystopian setting and desperate people being forced to fight to survive or be killed on an island.

Both involve a group of people being forced to play games to the death.
