May it please the court is more Thriller and mystery in the 2nd part and more law and justice in the 1st. And they are both executed excellently.

Both shows share similar genres related to sports, youth, and slice-of-life. I think those who enjoyed Ping Pong Life would also be interested in the Racket Boys' storyline.

Both MLs are weary immortal beings seeking to die who meet the human FL who is fated to be short lived and holds the key to ending their life. Just when the MLs discover how to die, they end up falling in love.

Lots of politics going on and an arranged marriage for political reasons. Strangers become friends become lovers and help each other succeed. 2ML grew up with FL and he carries a grudge about losing her to ML. ML is a battle-hardened general.

In both drama, leads are unhappily married to each other. FL suffers a near fatal accident (to which the ML says in effect "call me when she's dead"). The FL awakens in hospital with selective amnesia, having forgotten her entire married life with ML and wants a divorce.

Both discuss the subject of labor accidents, a really sad reality of poor workers being mistreated and never taken care of

MGC is a bit more comedic than DD, so it’ll most probably be less dark but the subject is still sad if it revolves around ghosts of laborers
