While Fragments is very different from L&R (a low budget short drama with an EXTREMELY simple plot) I'd recommend this one SPECIFICALLY if you felt like Xiao Yin Hua's ending was too sad or pitiful.

The same actress is the female lead in Fragments; she plays a similar role in terms of having a double identity, not being human, and being extremely straight-forward about her feelings. But in this one her love is fully requited and she gets her happy ending. Personally I like to think of it as being Xiao Yin Hua's next reincarnation after she dies in Love and Redemption.

Both include medical elements and the plot is much more than just a bl/ romance.
There is investigating and crime in both the series and there is a darker undertone compared to the general bl series

Both the dramas occur in the same universe and the actors from Manner of death also make a cameo in Triage.
There is suspended/ mystery along with the bl elements. Triage has an additional supernatural element too

Both stories focus on friendship, bullying, and teen gang members. Like Si Eun, Takemichi is a weak hero, albeit cowardly compared to Si Eun. But they're both relentless in their pursuit to protect the ones they love.

Resident Playbook and Prison Playbook, both by the Reply series team (Lee Woo-jung/Shin Won-ho), share striking similarities despite different settings. Each follows a tight-knit group of men navigating a rigid, hierarchical system (hospital residency/prison), blending dark comedy with raw emotional struggles.

Both critique systemic flaws (healthcare bureaucracy/justice corruption) while humanizing their flawed protagonists—talented but imperfect figures who grow through mentorship and camaraderie. Their episodic, slice-of-life storytelling balances humor and heartbreak, emphasizing small victories over grand plots.

While Resident Playbook is faster-paced with medical crises, Prison Playbook leans reflective, but both excel in realism, moral gray areas, and ensemble chemistry.

These Both drama has the Same Screenwriter Tong Hua. Both drama portray strong Independent female lead and their struggle. Both drama has a theme of Harem story.

Very similar plots, both have to do with coming back to life/reincarnation and take place in offices/work environment.

The tones of both dramas are similar, even though both plots are significantly different. Both are Koean BLs but are not your typical BLs. They explore the darker sides/tones of relationships in general while also including some aspects specific to LGBT relationships, such as social stigma. For me, I find that the best points of the dramas are not the relationships itself but the underlining currents surrounding the relationships.

The ML again waits and waits for a FL who is only after success and money. In that the FL is worse than here . She also tortures the ML too much there and actually has other relationships. She leaves him hanging for a long time before coming back to him. And again you don’t want them together at all

- Main leads are only trying to not be seen by the bullies, until they get too involved
- Sieun (WHC) and Byungtae (Boyhood) are loners, they discover friendship values while they make friends who will fight together
- Both dramas show how imperfect leaders will be trying to survive day by day while they try to defeat a full system of violence at school.
- School violence at best, with distinct approaches and ambiances!
- Intense fight scenes, but people will also fight with what they have in hand sometimes ;)
- While Weak Hero Class is a bit serious, melancholic and deep, Boyhood tries to be funny and bizarre

They have similar plots as in both take place in high school and deal with gangs. Also great (b)romance
