Both are about the dream of flying.
In contrast to the NKOL , TE is more all-rounded:well developed and finished story with a hint(not the dominant aspect) romance .

Both drama show the bond between friends ,which train to protect the country.
Have similar feeling.
The huge difference is that in AMA the romance is more dominant. TE is more about the development of every character and the difficulties they go true in order to realize their dreams .
Would recommend watching both of them .

Both have the same writer Yoo Bo Ra, both create an unique subtle world, both have a beautiful music.

Both stories will give you life and destroy you. Both are about obsessive love that's beyond the boundaries of right and wrong

I love Double Mints absolutely just the way it is but if you want a less dark version of a story set in the crime world History Trapped is perfect.

There’s cross dressing in both. Although, Jang Dong Yoon is more convincing. The romance of both first stems from a friendship. Both male leads are handsome and female leads are young experienced actresses.

Not so much of continuation of the first season. The detectives are still the same but the stories are as usual: very episodic and so good!

The younger version of Furuhata the original. Yamada did the character good. The mystery itself is very interesting, although it differs from Furuhata's way of trapping the criminal. Maybe because the young kid is still a kid but overall very intriguing.

They have different plot. But both drama has the same setting, a mystery of a student's death, and bullying.

I wouldn’t say: if you like QSD then you'll like EK. I’d say: if you feel that QSD lacks smth, watch EK and vice versa.

In 2009 QSD had madly high rates at the Korean TV.
That’s why in 2013 the EK writers took the QSD plot pattern as the success formula: a smart strong female lead goes up to the royal power, first she cross-dresses as a boy, then fights against an evil chancellor. There are some male leads for who she is a love interest: one is virtuous and very pragmatic, another one has unhealthy psyche. There is the third character (very cute) but there are no romance between them, alas.
QSD has a lot of complicated political affairs, mind games, multidimensional characters but it lacks romance, pathos, adventures.
In EK writers added all this and made a more vivid teenage version of the same plot. Also they made the characters not so complicated and made the female protagonist even supersmart and superstrong.

In both movie the boy meets a girl and he falls in love with her at first sight. They start to enjoy happy days together, but than the girl reveals a sad secret...

In Waking Love up and Shopping King Louie, both male leads take up a memory loss, their rich lives forgotten. In both dramas, the girl is poor, but tends to help them throughout their journey.

Both revolve around time travel and love. Both takes places in the Warring States Period, one in Japan (Ashi Girl) and other in China (A Step Into The Past).

In both dramas two unrelated people starts to live together without any feelings, but later on they learn to care for each other and become inseperatable.
