Though Train to Busan is modern day, instead of period, it is IMO the best zombie movie of all time. They are different thematically, but both are excellent works in the zombie genre out of South Korea.
The storyline almost the same because both of this drama and movie was adapted from manga called "Itazura Na Kiss". Jiang zhi shu and yuan xiang xin in this drama have more chemistry and their chemistry is one of the best in Asian Drama. Both female lead are funny and humorous. Both travel back in time & fall in love with the prince. The female lead is very stubborn and always tries to finds a way out of palace. Female lead gets to be Male lead's consort. Male lead is always serious and doesn't like female lead at first. Male lead always tries to torture her and makes her jealous.
Both titles are heartfelt romances between childhood friends. The main characters are in their 30s in both dramas. The interactions between the leads are both funny and endearing, and hit you right in the feels.
