This movie is a remake of the original movie from Japan in 2008 called Cyborg She.
The plot is nearly identical but I think the 2008 movie did a better job overall. The other film is also longer and explains the plot in greater details. Many of the actions she took were in fulfillment of his wishes. That is not explained in this current remake.

It's a BL movie series that is about high schoolers learning to love. I don't want to give anything away but the story is so sweet and tear jerking, it's definitely worth a watch.

Both are of the same genre.
Both FLs initially do not have the ability to emote.
Both are peppered with misunderstandings, but also laden with fluff.
Overall, both dramas have very similar vibes, with Ashes of Love giving you a high dose of angst once and Love and Redemption sprinkling angst here and there from the start to the end.

Both FLs are women who are smart and and raised from an early age to be the Commanders/General of large armies to protect China's borders.

First of all.Both dramas are CLASSIC MASTER PIECE in my opinion.
Both drama main leads are dealing with infidelity issues. But totally in different ways.

In secret love affair Female lead is much older than male lead.
My Mister male lead is much older than female lead.

In secret love affair Female lead is dealing with office politics.
My Mister male lead is is dealing with office politics.

Both dramas have many heartwarming and heart breaking moments.

Main similarity, YOO AH IN from secret love affair and LEE SUN GYUN from my mister has insane acting skills.Both are not talking much in both dramas but their expresions talking 1000 words.

Again, same actress and scriptwriter. Kemono is a bit better in presenting "life lessons", soratobu is comparatively more in your face on that. But regardless absolutely great dramas.

Both feature a noona romance with a career-oriented older woman and the plucky younger guy she ends up falling for. The chemistry between both leads is great and they both have bits of commentary here and there on what its like for women who are still when well into their 30s or hitting 40
