Both leads are desperately trying to save their loved ones. Also, both are filled with suspense and mystery.

It's the same actress and the chemistry between leads is just really sweet! MLs are always protecting FLs and very clear in their love for FLs. Most importantly, in both shows, the main couples have tons of airtime (unlike other shows where way too much time is spent on other subplots, 2nd or 3rd couples).

Both dramas talk about the process of a person going through an illness and their family and friends who are by their side.

this one is really nice...............here the brother and sister(not blood related siblings) fall in love after they grow up.....good storyline

These are both "inexperienced romance writer/editor//mangaka finds love" dramas. Both short and fluffy and don't take up too much time or brain cells.

In both dramas a guy has difficulty to express his feelings towards a girls, which leeds to misunderstandings. In both cases guys are seen as "psychopaths" by some people and there is a development in relationship from hate.

here the FL and ML both possess the power of overseeing the future in their dreams. In L&R, both the leads possess real 'power' (fantasy) and I think you will also notice some similarity in the charm of the FL in both the stories.

The lead savant characters, the palace politics and a classic tale of vengeance in the name of the wrongfully accused.

If you are a fan of historical drama's full of intrigue, schemes and a charismatic lead. It is all about brotherhood, friendships and drama that comes with palace politics

Both of these involve infidelity, betrayal and revenge. Both have characters that are getting close to the leads under false pretenses, and are relatively mature in content.

There are times when the female lead finds herself being unable to control her actions, which is similar to the "stages" in EY. However, only she is affected by these "stages". Similarly, the actual male lead ends up being different from the original written male lead.

In both dramas, the female lead traverses into a story world that she wrote and finds that she is actually the "evil" second female lead. However, "Oh My Drama Lover" is different in that the female lead loses her memory and her appearance is different in the story world. Furthermore, the actual male lead of the drama is not the story's written male lead.

If you want to see another social commentary regarding gender roles and marriage in Japanese society, Nigeru wa Haji da ga Yaku ni Tatsu handles it very well, is a lot lighter with no controversial elements, and really dives deep on the concepts of housework and valued work in society/relationships. Kareshi wo Loan is considered more controversial and definitely has some darker elements.

I'm surprised this recommendation hasn't been made yet. Both involve a FL in a master/slave power dynamic with degradation themes where the woman holds the power (in theory). In Kono Otoko was Jinsei the ML is willing - in Kareshi wo Loan, the dynamic is a forced debt situation and the drama is considered pretty controversial/outrageous.
