Both Dramas centre around a young woman, who finds herself amidst the struggel to refom a clan and the intrigue and strife for power that's accompanied by. The two heroines both work as a housemaid in a samurai household. While "Hotarugusa" focusses more on revenge, "48-ninme no Chuushin"s plot revolves around loyalty. "Hotarugusa" is also a ltittle bit more lighthearted and has some comic relief through the side characters, "48-ninme no Chuushin" is more on the sincere an melancholic side.

In both these dramas, an officer/prosecutor both develop teams in order to catch the bad guys. Bad guys age of evil gives me Leverage vibes

In both the dramas, there is a loss of loved one before they start investigating. Also when read about Mad Dog, it gave me Vagabond vibes.

This show is actually the prequel to the Lost Tomb series. It's where the formation of the Nine Families that are mentioned in the series, even though some of the characters aren't exactly like those in the rest of the series.

Mental? Psycho? Try growing up with a bunch of disturbing parent with a killer instinct. Award winning movies, a list senior actors + yeojingoo that should be enough to keep u interested.

They both have same director. They both deal with love and duty vs honour, and a lower caste samurai being asked to kill someone he is reluctant to.

Lawless Attorney (Lawless Lawyer) features the same kind of hero, strong and protective who watches out for the FL even though she is strong in her own right and can take care of herself. The ML would prefer to settle things with the law, but he's got no problem using his fists if he has to.

both are rather quiet and slife of life-y family focused films screenwritten and directed by Koreeda. In both a certain revelation turns the life of the characters around, in Like Father Like Son its the driving point of the story while in Shoplifters it gets introduced way later in the movie. Both films also make you question if it had been better if they never found out or not and if your real family are your blood relatives or if it is the people you live with and who raise you.
