Both series have a historical context even though “Memoir of Rati” takes place entirely in 1915 while “Century of Love” has fantasy elements and takes place both in 1914 and 2024. Additionally, both series give a very romantic vibe and beautiful cinematography.

Like The Spirealm, the main character of LGIEF is sent into a “game” where she has to complete certain missions in order to make it back to the real world. The game is based on her favorite book, and she plays as one of the characters to try to change the ending. In the Spirealm, they have to complete the task of finding the key and the door in order to go back to the real world—completing a mission of sorts. These two dramas may not seem like a likely pairing, but if you enjoy dramas where the character is put into a game like in The Spirealm, you may enjoy LGIEF.

"No matter how much time we spend together, I'll never become special to you."
Childhood best friends. Two halves of a whole. The cool, smart one who's good at almost everything, and his average, dorky friend who struggles to do anything right-Yamato and Kakeru. Always by the other's side, but not together in the way they truly want to be. No matter how hard they try, their hearts cannot reach each other...

Same ML as a soldier. The beginning of the first ep is somewhat similar. ML and his squad rescues FL in foreign land. They meet again through business while ML remembers her but FL doesn't remember his face but is still looking for him. FLs memory stick was mistakenly swapped with that of the villains and they try to kill her but ML saves her again. The two fall in love.

* Both are detective/mystery dramas with a case-by-case structure.
* Strong bromance and male lead partnership.
* Wuxia-style setting with light martial arts and historical elements.
* Smart, flawed protagonists with emotional backstories.
* Found family/team dynamics with warm character interactions.
* Female characters with actual roles, not just love interests.
* Low-to-mid budget but surprisingly good storytelling.
* Hint of larger conspiracy beyond the surface cases.

Both are short series dramas but manage to make a strong impact in limited runtime.

Based on the crime thriller genre, which remains the central focus throughout a definite plus point.

Minimal or no romance in the storyline, which works well for this theme and adds to the seriousness of the plot.

Despite being short series, they come very close to the feel of a standard full-length drama

They stand out in the short series category, giving the impression of a well-produced mainstream drama.

Budget, execution, setup, and direction are all done well showing clarity, effort, and good planning.

There are some minor flaws, but they can easily be overlooked considering the overall quality and the sincere attempt behind it.

It reminds me of we are bc of the dinamic is similar between the main couple pond/jimmy character is the type of bf who flirts and do a lot of physical contact the one who pursue their partner and sea/phuwin character is the one who doesnt like much or reject the physical contact but still sometimes shows how much he cares about his partner through this physical contact or even affirmation words. Also we have the side couple of Aou/Boom but in we are they have more interactions.

* Both are vertical short dramas.
* They are adaptations of the same story.
* The central theme is love after marriage.
* The focus is on how the couple cultivates feelings and grows their relationship after marriage.
* It's a well-executed and heartwarming story.
* You will definitely enjoy watching it, especially if you like slow-burn, romantic development in a marriage setting.
