Both have similar vibes and intros, both MLs are seemingly unpredictable and calculating with a hidden plan. Both FLs pose as someone close to them (fiancée vs. sister) to enter the family household. Both couples start off antagonistic, and have a lot of chemistry from the beginning.

while JOL is not yet revealed as game, there are many similarities between the two productions: there is a lady who comes from somewhere (like Fan Xian's mom) and acts like Uncle Wu. The ML does not have the memories of his life but like FX he too is charged with running a country and is aided by characters that know more about the current situation than the king himself. Although ML in Joy of Life does not have multiple lives like the ML here, but they are equally given a chance to correct their mistakes.
And on top of it there is comedy!

stuck in the game for one reason or another - but what is this game and who runs it? Will NPCs join the forces? Will the real people achieve the goal of getting out of there?

If you're a sucker for strong chemistry between the leads, then this one has got it too! Another similarity is the devotion, borderline obsession, of the male lead to the female lead - there is only one woman in their heart and one woman only! But the romantic journeys are very different, which keep things interesting. Both series are high in angst and will send you on a roller coaster of emotions. Last but not least, the acting by the ML and FL in both are top notch! Making the audience feel the emotions right along with them.

They are a little bloody and have some mysterious drama to it. They both have psycho and an interesting story

both drama are historical and in both drama, the fl is going through a lot of adversity and difficulties but stays resilient throughout and the ml is deeply in love and is able to do anything and everything for his love no matter how it impacts his life.
