If you enjoy dramas that punch you right in the feels with friendship and community feels, both Racket Boys and Always Home are absolute treasures. Racket Boys envelops you in this warm, small-town hug where the villagers and the badminton kids are like one big, weird family. It's the type of show that has you smiling at the little things—like commensal meals and silly team moments—and feeling all fuzzy inside.
Always Home, on the other hand, takes you on a more emotional ride. It starts with lighthearted banter and the joys of teenage friendship but gradually delves into deeper, sometimes painful, life challenges. It's a powerful depiction of coming of age, where friendships are tried and not everything gets tied up in a bow.?
Both dramas, in their own unique ways, celebrate the bonds that hold us together—be it through laughter, tears, or shared dreams. If you're looking for stories that feel like a warm hug or a heartfelt chat with old friends, these are definitely worth the watch.?

They have similarities like brother sister relationship, disappear and meet again and also slice of life
Same premise: an underdog FL sets out on a mission to dismantle the hierarchical order in her school. Pyramid Game is a bit more grounded and Gakkou no Kaidan more theatrical.
Both series starts and themed into mutant gene individuals who either born without empathy (criminal/serial killer ) or a genius . And passing a bill ... though mouse is not bl but it has bromance ....both are crime thriller .
Same as Koi wa Yami, the drama is also led by a couple. This couple was caught with a series of serial killings which will prompt the two to investigate about who is the culprit behind these incidents.
I miss the time when I was watching Gokusen as an early teen.
Growing up, I really want to be a passionate teacher like Yankumi. Fast forward to year 2025, running almost a decade of teaching experience, I now sympathize more to Shizuka Urumi sensei (the reluctant preacher jdorama).. I am now fed up and just mostly driven by my feeling of annoyance and yet find ways to still be effective. ??
The year before and after pandemic with f2f classes really made me feel like yankumi were in I was stuck with the hardest class, and now I have evolved to be this new breed of Shizumi sensei. ?
Keep the teacher jdoramas coming!!!

On top of what others already said:
- OST by the same composer and it shows (Akihiko Matsumoto)
- ML's are very similar: idealistic, strategic, vigorous (they yell a lot)
- There's a bit of background to almost every support character that we learn of as the series progress
- A lot of emotional, touching moments
- With every episode there's a linear sense of progression towards the end goal
- Similarly over the top at times

Distrust between the leads. Cat and mouse kind of relationship. Amnesia arc! And Angsty. Circle of Love is more tragic though, but has incredible acting from the leads with undeniable chemistry.
It revolves around twins. One is adopted and raised by a wealthy mom, whereas the other is adopted by a single father.
