Both series are obviously BL. There are parallels between Mamoru and Hira as shy, unconfident young men who are obviously in love with their 'idol' of sorts that appear out of their league. While Issei is an actual idol, and Kiyoi is more a school idol who pursues acting their careers and positions are pretty similar. Both pairings have non-conventional dynamics, with enough similarities I think most fans of either one will enjoy the other.
