Both are remakes of Cantonese movie "Infernal Affairs" - City of Damnation is an official remake, and The New World was only inspired by it - the plot doesn't follow the original script

Both movies were directed by Park Hoon Jung - while they don't share many similarities in plot, they have the same vibe

Friend Zone 2: Dangerous Area is the sequel to the original Friend Zone series from 2018, the original cast reprise there roles and the audience gets to see how there lives and relationships have moved on.

Male leads in both movies enter gangland as undercover cops and befriend their criminal co-workers. Both productions have a similar plot - unfortunately I cannot reveal more without spoiling either of these films. If you liked one of them, you'll likely enjoy the other one too

Both stories have the same actors, besides one, but overall it is pretty similar stories. I think people love the cast from the 2Moons and they decided to do a serie based on the same storie.
The characters have same names, or similar. I just wish that Mark could be called as Ming as in the 2 moons with the same names. But, oh well, I think this series has a lot more passion and we could see a lot more of the acting of each actor.
Who liked the 2moons, DEFINITELY will like Gen Y, it as more romance.

These are two short web dramas featuring the same main ML actor playing the same character: broody, distant and mysterious being chased by the annoying FL. Both are easy to watch, do not tire you out and are easily forgettable.

- Male lead throws tantrum when the illness gets worst (head injury).
- Poor female lead gets a job at the male lead's company and works closely with the male lead (assistant position).
- Female lead loves and takes care of her family (some family members had passed away).
- Their relationship (and the male lead's disability) is kept a secret from others.
- Coworkers become jealous/envious of the 2 lead characters and would start to plot traps to ruin the male lead's career.
- Suspicious best friend of the male lead.
- There are other female characters (from rich families/businesses) that try to date the male lead.

Both male leads have a disorder where the female lead will help them (of course they will silly me)

Both depict Japan maybe in its worst times ever. Painful to watch, but maybe it's good to know better how after the terrible time, the nation redeemed itself through decades of hard work and responsibility.

If you liked family sitcom dramas with a bunch of hilarious misunderstandings, unluckiness and a bit of romance, you'll love this too.

Similar BL drama, except it is a bromance. Xianxia drama, and loaded with angst and a lot of feels.
