- Both adapted from a novel;
- FLs are strong, wit and resourceful;
- Historical dramas with political intrigues, but The Rise of Phoenixes is much darker and more complex;
- Both FLs are unfavored by the main branch of the family and forced to marry a controversial and inauspicious man;
- There is also a scene where FL tries to manipulate ML in an attempt to escape the wedding, but ends up being outsmarted by him.

The main plot in both dramas is that the ML's are firefighters. There's a comrade around the firefighters (much like in a date with the future) and there's romance in both.

Everything seems perfect in the life of the successful family doctor and associate director, Ji Sun Woo. She lives happily in Gosan with her handsome husband Lee Tae Oh, whom she financially helped establish an entertainment company, and their teenage son, Joon Young. The plots and vibes are totally different, but these are both top-tier enemies-to-friends dramas. One of the leads is a commoner who is very clever and has a variety of different friends, while the other comes from a more privileged background and feel pressured to act against their better natures. All of the leads get involved in an elaborate quest for revenge that is related to their parents. Handsome Siblings is a traditional wuxia with romance and lots of interesting side characters, while A League of Nobleman is a gothic murder mystery.

Darkness and emotional investment. Both stories have protagonists fighting against the injustice while morality of the methods used are in the gray area. Both series have a strong sense of comraderie/bromance where the guys take care and protect each other.

Both series center around healing through food. The leads provide comfort and solution to their customers' worries/problems through personalized meals.

Two BEST thriller kdrama, The smile has the left your eyes focuses more on that Romance aspect but still has that has thriller, detective aspect to it

the main story is similar, about the FL enter the fiction story and can change the plot. While in W (korean drama) the ML is a character inside the story, and in To Ship Someone both FL and ML can come into the fiction story.
