Of course, both dramas star Song Joongki, but the real similarity is the feeling that the protagonist is always one step ahead of everyone else. Even when it's unclear to the viewer how the protagonist will end up victorious, somehow his plan always works out. The thrill of thinking that the protagonist failed only to have him come out on top once again is super exciting to see in both of these Song Joongki dramas.
Both are mini dramas in which the couples start off on the wrong foot at school, and the FL's mother and ML's father start a relationship, causing the four to live together.
Similarities:
- FL has had a crush on the cold ML (during school years)
- ML develops a secret crush on FL (after school years)
- ML has a younger brother (child age)
• The younger brother doesn't like the FL in the beginning
- ML is very smart
- Reunion many years later
- High School to Working Life
-FL & ML work in the same field
• Eventually both work in the same place
Differences:
- In HWMA (Here We Meet Again) the FL was friends with the ML, but in AROTLF (YA Romance of the Little Forest) they were not friends at all

There's a suspicion among the imperial family to run for the throne. Even though the male lead of both series already take an oath to stay loyal, the suspicion is still exist. Male lead of both dramas are great general who has been spending their life for peace even though suspicion of them beings rebels exists. Both of the drama leads also can't be together in the end because of their priorities and responsibilities.
Similarities
* Slow "slice-of-life" romances
* strong FL and capable supportive ML
* No rushing to get through the plot
* Family and friends important characters
MET is high-school and college ages. MY is stable career.

Same young female lead, she plays as twins in both dramas, except in the King's Affection, she plays a twin pair of a girl and a boy. Something happens to one of the twins in both dramas.
Again, Joseon Era setting, and political plots.
There is also a parallel of the main leads meeting at a young age, and starting to have feelings for each other since then.

First parallel is the setting, both are set in the Joseon era. Next is the very political plot, with many plot twists and love rivalry. Yet, the main leads try to find how they could be able to love each other despite their obstacles.
WARNING: Next paragraph may contain spoiler
Another parallel though is that the main girl enters the palace as the male lead's concubine.

Mature smart drama.
Similar scenario. ML trying to uncover past for revenge and clear fathers name. SML has a mysterious past that intertwines with ML's past. ML is a schemer and SML who helps ML is smart and upright.

quite a few similar aspects:
- centred around a sport
- sporty lead and other lead having an antagonistic relationship that transforms into something romantic
- sporty lead stagnating in his skill of that sport until he meets other lead who shows him how to loosen up and improve
- other lead being quite happy and cheeky on the outside but having internal issues that he slowly reveals to the sporty lead

Same crazy vibes, but pbbn is much better plot-wise. In pbbn the characters actually go through character development. The villains actually get punished and the main characters are much more likable.
Both films are Filipino period films taking place around the Japanese occupation of the Philippines.
- Same leads. Reversed suffering.
- BoL can be considered the reincarnation of TLTSILY, where ML get his retribution for betraying the FL in the past life.

FL broke up with ML and went on suffering on her own before meeting again. ML was kept in the dark about the breakup and was heartbroken for years, resulting in his resentment towards FL. Both dramas begin with their lives several years after the breakup.
