The shocking part for me is that both The Dragon chant and Lai Zhan are from same genre "WUXIA" and I have seen trailer of The Dragon Chant which is so amazing.....Hoping for Lai Zhan shooting to start ??
I'm surprised no one has recommended AMA. Its a masterpiece. A cdrama. Similar to SS, a female cross dressing in the Military. There is a lot of hilarity, and in similar way, she has to share the room with ML. ML finds out that she a woman quite early on and then helps her to hide her gender. Its so much fun, the characters are hilarious especially ML, he makes me laugh. It gets more serious towards the end as the war breaks out and they have to fight. But its a good ending.
One of my favourite cdrama. Highly recommended.

Very similar characters and themes of fate and sacrifice, and finding your loved one through multiple lives /over time. I personally liked the visuals better in Song of the Moon. I suspect this would have been more popular and well known if it hadn't been overshadowed by Love between a Fairy and a Devil, which came out around the same time. FYI this has two possible endings and you can decide which you prefer (which may also be why it doesn't get the attention it deserves). An underrated drama, and a good watch.
Both focus on weak and timid teenage boys who experience bullying at school, which pushes them to learn how to fight back. As they grow in their fighting skills, they also mature and develop in personality, making new friends and enemies along the way. Both become underdogs and work hard to get stronger and better.
RB focuses more on MMA and structured competition, while Boyhood features street boxing, but both include a lot of satisfying ass whooping.

Looking for commentary on Filipino politics with wry humour? Both these films serve just that. Balota will suit the thriller lovers out there, whereas Bayaning 3rd World is a playful postmodern take on history.
Both these well produced Filipino films have leads who fight against the odds where political powers are out to get them. Neither the teacher in Balota nor the priest in Gomburza are your typical rebels or activists, and yet they are thrust into circumstances where they choose to make a stand.
Similarities:
-Very similar cases and equally creepy in a good way.
-There are good demons and bad ones, just like humans.
-Both ML's are demon hunters.
