Career-oriented CEO of Go Food, Keung Tai Mo Tyson, agrees to go on a blind date his grandfather set up for him. Meanwhile, Suen Ho Lee Hollie, a small fry in Go Food, agrees to go on a blind date in her best friend Chan Ying Shu's stead. A love story between the big boss and a low-ranking employee begins with this blind date. On the other hand, Tyson's secretary Cheung Shing Dong Frankie and Chan Ying Shu, a rich man's daughter, fall in love at first sight. The two will experience many unforgettable moments as their relationship develops in this romantic comedy.

Ten men and women in their 20s and 30s who want to find the best love. However, among the female members, there is at least one "lying" wolf girl who does not fall in love.

The two female leads are lawyers and are really, really crazy. LOL... With that being said, they both feature a female lead who is a fierce and ambitious lawyer. Both dramas delve into seeking justice through unconventional means and revenge against powerful adversaries. And there's that romance between the male and female leads in both dramas that's existent but not so existent, if that makes any sense.

In the same way that, contrary to what may make logical sense, listening to dark, depressing music often provides comfort to someone in a dark place, these shows are both the existential crisis equivalent to listening to Brand New; you'd think that a distraction, like happy, upbeat k-pop would be best, yet in reality, when you're at your worst, what you often really want is to feel that you're not alone.

In a similar sense, these shows are the polar opposite of a distraction for anyone genuinely suffering from true existential crises; the primary focus is all about death, compassion, and what may or may not come next.

They both provide a very similar, for lack of better words, "spiritual" take on the concept of death that seems to be very distinctly Korean--in the sense that, while the depictions are surely more Buddhist than anything else, there is also a bit of a blend of everything, ranging from bits of Christianity to traditional beliefs.

Both shows will make you cry, or rather, help you cry, and yet at the same time, feel a sense of peace and bittersweet relief.

Both focus heavily on caring for both the ones who have passed and the ones left behind--and truly caring; neither show is primarily about revenge, or necessarily even achieving true justice or satisfaction, but rather about having genuine compassion, understanding, and empathy.

Additionally, both shows have a lot of other themes in common. To name a few:

- cold-on-the-outside yet warm-on-the-inside, strong women leads
- compassionate male characters
- 'believable' supernatural elements
- taking responsibility for past actions
- intertwined fates

"Lover's Concerto" and "Soulmate" are movies with similar plot about the friendship between two girls who have a special bond ever since their childhood and how they got involved in a love triangle with the same boy that changed their lives.

It spans decades of turbulent history about invasions (Khitans vs. Mongols) focused on the men who grow to shape the entire country and the time period (King Hyeonjong vs. Kim Jun). It also depicts important battles and the subsequent heroes. The ML King Hyeonjong is also the king who helps to shape Buddhism in the country due to him ordering the carving of the Tripitaka Koreana, while God of War shows its destruction due to the mongols and its recarving.

I find the vibe to be pretty similar. There are a lot of similarities like:
Supernatural being who survivial is dependent of FL
Loaded main leads
Narcissistic personalities

Based on the world of sports, both dramas show struggling athletes/teams on the verge of giving up or retiring but then a new manager shows up and shakes things up for the best.

Both are slice of life, slower paced dramas with a FL who feels stuck in a rut in her life when she takes a trip and meets the ML who is deaf.

Hirosue Ryoko plays a pouty, blind girl with a chip on her shoulder (chips and grudges are in this quarter), whose very wealthy father has just died and left her his estate. Her mother left him years ago, taking her older brother, but leaving her behind. The sweet, but none-too-sharp brother, Reiji, writes her for years but the housekeeper throws the letters away. Now it turns out that this sweet Reiji (let's call him Reiji I), has gone to work as a cook for another guy named Reiji (Reiji II played by Watabe Atsuro), the cold-hearted head of a very successful Kabukicho host club. The girls all love him, but all he loves is his bankbook. Reiji II's life goes well until one day a rich executive's wife, who has been providing him with millions, turns out to be a poor bank clerk who has embezzled all the cash from her employer. Reiji II did not know this, but the police do not believe him and he heads off to serve six months as an accessory to the crime. The distraught, sweet Reiji I steps into the street to protest as Reiji II is driven off to jail, gets hit by a motorcycle and dies. Six months later, Reiji II returns to find that the world of Kabukicho has turned against him and, during his incarceration, he has somehow run up a huge debt to the district's worst loan shark. As he prepares to be eaten alive by the nasty loan sharks, a private detective shows up looking for Reiji I, so he can reunite him with his long-lost sister. Somebody gets Reiji I and II confused, but Reiji II does a quick take on the situation. Seeing this as his only hope of swimming out of shark-infested waters, he takes it. He steals the identity of the other Reiji and heads off for a reunion with his newfound "sister." Bitter and angry about something as yet undisclosed, she is in no mood to be won over and slashes him on the cheek with her white cane. End of episode one. And yes, that was the best offering of the week

Abandoned by his mother as a child and raised by the Park family, Oh Soo is a notorious gambler in the neighborhood of Cheongdam. After the death of his first love, he is left heartbroken and cold, not caring about anybody else. Soo is then thrown into prison following the unexpected death of his friend who shares his name. A year later, Soo meets lawyer Jang Sung, who came looking for the deceased Oh Soo, the heir of PL Group. When he is given 3 months to pay or die, Soo uses this opportunity to con the last remaining heir of the PL Group, Oh Young, to pay his debt. While pretending to be the deceased brother who was separated from his sister after their parents' divorce, Soo starts falling in love with the blind Oh Young.

Julian has lived off with the money he lures from his rich female customers. But now he faces usurious debts from a hasty expansion of his business, and he will be killed unless he clears the debt in one month. The only way to save himself is to pretend to be the long-lost brother of an heiress and kill her to get her huge fortune. Min, the blind heiress, cold-hearted like Julian, slowly opens herself to him, and he, too, falls for her. But Julian has to pay his creditor and what makes it worse for him is that the illness that took Min's eyesight relapsed, threatening her life.
