Recommendations

While I was watching this japanese drama I was constantly reminded of SITR. Why? It is a noona romance. The woman (who behaves like a doormat) works in the office and is a victim of ordinary office harassment. Meeting a fake rebel, gives her the courage to fight back. There is even a mother looking unkindly on this relationship. This drama is less angsty and much sweeter than SITR but the korean drama has the best chemistry ever!

While I was watching TOTNT, I was reminded of Goblin very strongly. They share very similar vibes.

- Both have similar themes of reincarnation, destiny, love, and impending death
- Both are fantasy/romance
- Both male leads are supernatural characters with god-like abilities and have been waiting for the female lead for hundreds of years
- Both have similar themes of love against destiny
- Both have great cinematography
- Both mix scenes that are meant to feel very epic/grand but also have comedic scenes
- Both have several interesting side characters
- Both female leads are doomed with death through similar systems, more so in Goblin
- Both main couples (imo) are underdeveloped and quickly fall in love, but that might be preferred for someone that dislikes slow burn romances

Both Our Blues and A Year-End Medley portrays its story from a multi perspectives angle. The main characters each get to tell their own story and overcome their own obstacles. In our blues the characters are all connected through Jeju island while in A Year-End Medley the characters are all connected through a hotel.

- FL helps ML;
- smart leads;
- ML is loyal to the emperor;
- ML is scared of the emperor;
- the emperor is cautious of ML;
- FL serves ML at some point in the story;
- ML loves FL, but has a harem.

Both are mini dramas in which the FL is drunk/sleeping and receives a confession or kiss, but doesn't know who it was among several possibilities. She then tries to discover which of the MLs is the one who confessed/kissed her. Both have a love triangle (ML, SML, and FL) and the confession/kiss has an unexpected twist to it.

TG remind me much of drama D.P which also centered around bullying but with different setting as it happened in military premise .IMO, the bullying aspect in D.P was more hardcore, dark , gory than the one shown in TG.

Both have super cute big height differences between the main couple. Both couples are students and have a friendship to romance relationship.

Shimbashi Koi Story is a depiction of queer life in Tokyo, Japan that feels authentic, and not manufactured.

Plots are very similar. Violence and school bullying lead one young man to use his smarts to outwit the bullies and get revenge.

South Korean films that show very real, very violent cases of school bullying that lead the victim to a quest for revenge.

Both are mini dramas with slow and lovely romances, a lot of beautiful scenery, and a wistful, nostalgic feel.

Both dramas feature contract marriages that turn into true love. Both couples run cosmetics/skin care product shops. Both are historical dramas with a modern mindset or twist, and are female-driven stories.

Both are historical dramas with a spirited FL who owns a business and ends up in a forced/contract marriage with the ML. Both MLs fall first and win over the FL.

Both are historical mini dramas with a contract relationship (fake siblings vs. marriage) between the main couple. Both are set in cosmetics shops.

Both are historical mini dramas with a strong FL and weaker ML who enter into a contract marriage that turns into love.
