Two very warm dramas that focus on romance in the work place. Both explore realising and coming to terms with your feelings and how that will change everything. Cherry Magic has a slight fantasy element, which Old Fashion Cupcake doesn’t but I feel there is a sense of magic in Old Fashion Cupcake through the interactions while eating desserts.

In both, the FL works for the ML and the two live together or next door to each other. Both FLs are down on their luck and going through hard times at the start of the dramas.

Both are sports centered school dramas in which the FL has or believes she has a magical power (power of electricity vs. believing she switched genders). MLs seem cold at first but are sweet to the FL.

Both dramas have a time traveling ML from a historical fictional world and the same twist regarding the real world vs. the fictional one. Both leads are cute together.
