Recommendations

Both dramas makes us go crazy with no closure in the final episode. BUT at least Alchemy of Souls has an upcoming season soon to be released.

It is very similar and has a similar plot. I think if you enjoyed either you should watch the other.

A prison warden does everything he can to tame one of his prisoners whose spirit is unbreakable.

A rivalry between a cruel prison warden and a defiant prisoner.

Both FLs are extremely introverted and withdrawn and have distinctive long bangs/hair that they hide behind at the beginning. They begin to come out of their shell after interacting with the ML. Both films have a school setting.

Both couples meet/met in school, both MLs are ill or disabled, the FLs are more quiet/withdrawn, and the main couple face disapproval from the FL's family over their relationship due to the ML's health. Both movies have a melancholy tone but have a happy ending.

Prison films about a crazy warden who abuses his power and targets one inmate.

In both films the warden seems to take a particular interest in mistreating one prisoner.

Similarities between the two dramas (includes mild spoilers):

- A bad boy king falls in love with an idealistic, kind woman from an enemy nation. He takes her hostage for drama reasons and spends episodes pining over her. Meanwhile the FL has an internal battle that consists of, "I must not betray my country by falling for this hot evil enemy king who would die for me!"

- There's a secondary romance in which the king's shy guard falls for the FL's more outgoing subordinate/confidante.

- Secondary plot about the two respective countries potentially going to war with each other.

Differences (includes mild spoilers):

- The FL in DDH is mature and wise, while the FL in LBFAD is more childish and naive.

- Both have historical settings; however, LBFAD has magic and is set in a fantasy realm, while DDH has no magic and is set in the real world (in fictional countries).

- The side characters and plots were stronger in LBFAD, in my opinion.

Both dramas — She and Her Perfect Husband & Extraordinary Attorney Woo — are about lawyers and romance!

While very different in premise, both of these dramas center around one of the characters having to leave and, after coming back, finding their friend-group as supportive as ever and ready to pick up where they left off.

Both of these dramas are friends-to-lovers BL dramas that really pull at your heart strings. And after seeing one of the leads pining in his currently-unrequited love, later on we get to see the tables turn and the other lead feeling all of the emotions that he un/intentionally made the other one feel.

The tone and vibes to these films are totally different but they remind me of each other in terms of the human experimentation aspect, as well as there being a whole special ops team of people trying to track down and kill a genetically modified human-thing. Young-nam Jang is also featured in both films.

While Sea Fog is no where near as gory as Project Wolf Hunting, both these films take place on a boat and involve mass murder and chaos.
