A former spy hiding his real identity to his wife. Kinda give similar vibes in husband and wife relationship
They both have strong female leads Bong-soon gets hired as a bodyguard and nam soon get hired they both have a chemistry with both male leads
The protagonist is young, determined, inspired to join the restaurant/bakery that they've eaten from. Romantic lead is an arrogant, skilled hot tempered chef/baker who doesn't cut the protagonist any slack. 2nd romantic lead is very kind and caring to the protagonist during their rough time at first.
In both: the male leads fall in love with the female leads first, at a young age. The two couples have an age difference, female leads being older. The male leads remained in love even when female leads were in another relationship (unrequited love). The female leads focus on their career and male leads support them. The professional nicknames of male leads (DT in Go Go Squid 2 and Heisha in Sweet Games) were inspired by the female leads without female leads knowing. The families in both stories support the protagonist couples. Friendships and teams come together equally with the goal of bringing victory to the team (in Go Go Squid 2) and the company (Sweet Games).
Both dramas are very atmospheric and visually stunning. Both couples have insane amounts of chemistry, with stories that touch on mental health issues and have a seemingly aloof and cold protagonist that's, in a way, misunderstood.
Strangers meeting and changing the lives of each other. This is the most similar thing in Breaking Ice compared to Us and Them. And you cannot forget the snow. Oh the snow, and the melancholia that comes with it. In Us and Them you can get a more detailed picture of what is happening in the lives of the characters and more depth and emotion. Missed opportunities and regrets but choosing to go on and live through all of it.
fl gets pulled in a game world and finds love. although romance on the farm is more family oriented, calm and comforting, love better than immortality is more on the angsty and focused on romance. both have love triangles but they take a very different approach towards it.
so dream of splendor and and princess silver both have a female lead that has a tea shop (atleast in the start) the relationship between the ml and fl lead is impeccable along with the political conflicts in both.
