Black is about a detective possessed by the Grim Reaper. Ha Ram can see shadows of death. These two struggle to save the lives of people, breaking the rules of heaven.

Seon Woo receives calla every morning and wants to find out who the secret admirer is. One day, he goes to a nearby florist’s where he meets Ji Hee. He falls in love with her at first sight, thinking she is the one who is sending him flowers. Seon Woo asks Ji Hee to go on a date, and she agrees. He arrives at the rendezvous only to find that Ji Hee is held hostage and, to his horror, killed before his eyes.

Chae Byul is standing on a subway platform after being dumped by her lover, Nah Han Su, whose goal in life is to climb to the top in society. Having watched her, the members of the Suicide Ghost Club, in charge of promotion, push her into an oncoming train to enhance their sales record. Persuaded by the ghosts in charge of promotion, Chae Byul signs up for the Suicide Ghost Club and meets other ghosts of unique characters such as Kantorates, Miss Stupid, and Diety. Miss Stupid talks Chae Byul into taking revenge on her lover, but Kantorates tries to stop her from making a deal with Miss Stupid. Chae Byul is confused, but Han Su's attitude instigates Chae Byul to get back at him.

both drama have a mix of historical and modern elements, they are both based on manga and they both have amazing cinematography.

I've watched these two in a row, one after another and overall both dramas have identical vibe to it (comedic romance) not only with the main couple but also second leads. Some similarities I've written down while watching it:
- enemies to lovers/hate to love type of relationship development
- a rich CEO dating a regular shmegular woman
- lowkey "contract relationship"
- main ML hates women in general but somehow feels different about the FL
- comedy over seriousness (done in a good way tho)
- hilarious friendships (main leads x second leads)

If you can't get enough of one of these, I highly recommend to watch the other one too! :)

In both dramas, the characters are trying to find out what caused the death of people they knew. Both dramas have a much darker tone than typical BL dramas and are great for horror/ crime/ thriller fanatics.

- Both dramas evolve around the characters trying to solve some kind of mystery surrounding the death of someone
- Both are BLs with a darker tone than others
- Both The Eclipse and Shadow have a school setting (in an all-boys school)

They both have characters standing on the line between good and evil. In Evilive one ML is a lawyer and The Worst of Evil has a cop. They both meet get involved with organised crime gangsters get connected to their ruthless leaders. Evilive is set in the aughts while TWOE is set in the 90s. They are both violent as well.

FL helps the ML to be the next heir to the throne. Both FLs in the two dramas are strong-minded and are willing to help the ML to achieve his ambitions.

ML competes against his brothers to be his father's heir.

FL helps the ML to achieve his ambitions and recruits her former admirer to be the ML's special adviser.
