Both dramas show the love blooms between the main leads after marriage. But Marry Me! is less angst and easier than The Sword and The Brocade. The male lead in The Sword and The Brocade has more than a wife while in Marry Me! the male lead has the female lead as his only wife.

Both feature smart ML and not so smart FL. Both have ML end up tutoring FL at some point. In both the ML and FL end up living together and try to hide it. In both the ML teases the FL. ML acts indifferent towards FL. There are many more similarities.

they both portray passion of cooking with beautiful recips, peaceful musics and loveable characters.. Jewel in the Palace is a period drama and Kinou Nani Tabeta is a modern drama but i think they're not that different from each other

Ossan's Love perefer to tell its story with more quirky way but overall both shows has similar aura with kinds of relationships and making decisions to find right happiness naybe

They both are calm, beautiful shows. There're relationship and family problems to be solved + realistic character developments.. two shows with mature love stories

ML is a mermaid, genre suits well Xuanhuan, xianxia, FL part have a short amnesia, same conclution that mermaid only love at one woman in their live, FL is a fighter, charachter of ML as a same at first part and change at the two part
