Three childhood friends that are separated when young, but all end up colliding/meeting again as adults. A mystery surrounds the reason for separation. Series has love, but its focus is also on friends and family.....with the question of is it possible to start again? Both has a serious undertone, but on the top it is all cute and fluffy with positive ending.

Both dramas reunite two actors, Huang Sheng Chi and Ma Xin Yu. However, Mountains and Oceans is quite darker (especially in the last episodes) and the two actors have very different parts in the two dramas :
-in Believe in Love, Huang Sheng Chi is the male lead and Ma Xin Yu is his sister, a spoiled noble lady
-in Mountains and Oceans, He’s the second male lead with a tragic fate while Ma Xin Yu has a much more important part, the second female lead and villain of the story who gets consumed by hatred and envy for the female lead and that you will definitely hate to the bone (but her performance is stellar !)

they are both made in the same year - 2022
same genre - thriller, mystery, comedy
also, romance.

as a choding and newer viewer in this genre, I love that it deals with dark themes like crimes and killing, but the atmosphere is lighter making it easy to watch even for someone like me :)

Both Set in Jeju
Both are based around a close-knit community
Both show you what it's like to live in such a rural community, where everyone knows everyone
Both teach you that what's important is the people you're with, no matter what stage of life you are in.

Hometown is a bit more of a brighter drama, with less serious topics covered in Our Blues (Our Blues made a very ambitious attempt to cover various topics that only dramas now are starting to touch)

If you miss a community-based drama after Our Blues, Hometown should be your next drama!
(NB. At the beginning of Our Blues, many were saying it was too similar to Hometown, which we found out to be untrue but gives you an idea of the similarities!)

Nagisa is 17 years old and attends 2nd grade in high school. Shun is the same age as Nagisa and visits Fujisawa for spring break. They meet and develop a relationship more than friendship.
- both Japanese BL dramas

In both a very self-absorbed male protagonist encounter a very strange/magical event just before the age of 30. Then she has to-rethink and re-evaluate his thinking about himself and everyone around him.
Both are office dramas.
In then the self-absorbed person is surrounded by a cute junior who can't read well his surroundings... .and a senior who indulges him with work..and then surprises him with a lot of understanding.
His partner is a very capable person in his/her work and has a very beautiful face and understanding and gentle nature.
When they talk things out.. both couples are full with cuteness.

Both dramas are company-related.
A new person arrives. It's a female worker with robot-like manners.
She is then chased by two people within the same company (or atleast that's what looks like). One elder one.. and one younger.

The boss in this drama is also very uncaring and awful who drives his assistant insane. No Go Jin is the most popular mathematics instructor in the private education field and the CEO of GOTOP Education. Even though he has only a high school level education, he has achieved all of his success due to his extreme intelligence. He seems like a perfect man with a handsome appearance, high IQ, and wealth. He is also narcissistic. One day, he is suddenly warned that he will be murdered.
Lee Shin A works as No Go Jin’s secretary. She is a diligent and responsible employee. Due to her quiet and introverted personality, she has little presence with her boss No Go Jin and her colleagues at work. Her colleagues begin to recognize her, because she has worked for the notorious No Go Jin for more than 1 year. She then learns that she does not have much time left to live.

It’s a thriller, in a medical scenario involving human organs trafficking. This is a BL, warning for those who are not into this genre. But plot is very good and with great Prodn values.

This is not BL in the purest sense of the word, but this is bromance that is about to cross the line to BL. The rapport of the two leads are awesome. Their supporting casts are equally good in their roles. It’s a pairing between a sexy bisexual Yakuza and a quiet and thorough police agent. The way they look after each other makes viewers yearn for more… The ending seems like there will be a season 2. I definitely hope so. Looking forward for these two to crossover the BL division.
