The same type of show, giving the same vibes:
- weak plot, but strong chemistry
- unhealthy relationship, but again strong chemistry
- a lot of skinship
- good NC and kiss scenes
- guilty pleasure watch
- both show has a music aspect and a male lead is a musician (especially in Cutie Pie, songs are awesome)

These 2 BL stories both take place amongst high school students - with similarly mischievous friend groups and contexts for the developing main relationship.
What if Gump didn't have Nai before going to help out his new roommate?
Both BL stories are centered around the effects of having a new roommate - the roommate being the relative of a close family friend.

both dramas are about 3 bestfriends and their love story. In each drama the side couples' play almost an equal role in the drama
Both are family themed, and a part of the plot, which is a spoiler, is kind of similar. UchiKare is a series with the combination of drama and comedy, but surely has great touching parts. It focuses more of mother and daughter relationship, and just a little bit on the side of the father. Soshite Baton is more of dramatic movie, and has also explored father and daughter relationship with the mother and daughter relationship. Bonus: Okada Kenshi is both on these ;)
The people in Sweet Home are infected because they're cursed but they would also attack innocent people like in this movie but they're not zombies, they can take any imaginable form of monsters.
The people are infected based on their strong desire, but in this movie the virus spreads faster by sexual act.
They both deal with similar psychological themes (e.g., trauma, othering) and have an element of fantasy. Visually they're similar as well with the colors, cinematography, butterfly theme, and even the style of animation in the opening title sequence.
Both are character-driven and have a found family type of vibe where people who are lonely and misunderstood find comfort in each other. Overall they're dark, but they present important messages with an optimistic outlook.

This apply mostly for the first half of Love in Flames of War:
- the male chases the female first & both are flirty
- in both their marriage is somewhat forced ( not so much in Story of Ming Lan )
- when they get married the male lead already likes the female lead, however the female lead will start to like & love him after the they get married
- in both the male leads are clever, scheming and have military power; however in Story of Ming Lan the male lead is more clever and charismatic
- both female leads are calm, quick witted and feminists ; though Ming Lan is by far smarter and more rational
- both have the scheming and unreasonable " third party " aka second male and female lead; however in Story of Ming Lan, the love triangle plots are very different in terms of dynamic, when they happen and how the main characters feels about them
- well-matched and beautiful OSTs
Extra things that are not similar but it makes Story of Ming Lan an outstanding drama:
- the story is longer therefore the female lead and male lead have a big character development ( which totally makes sense in justifying why certain characters & incidents are the way they are ) ; the plot is more complex and the quality is better
- far less misunderstandings between the leads and much more trust
- the story revolves a lot around the families of both female & male lead but is made very entertaining
- by the time the leads get married both have been through a lot of hardship and have matured
- every character is well played by the actors ( even support roles ) hence I've never found myself skipping forward
- when it was filmed the main actors were dating and later got married therefore all the romance scenes and the way they look at each other is something else and totally worth the wait
- no dubbing, using on set voices
To conclude, The Story of Ming Lan gives similar vibes, however the plot and characters are superior and more captivating. Hence I highly recommend watching it.

Both dramas feature a healthy relationship between the leads which starts as a rivalry. Both stories have a school/college setting.
Both dramas revolve around a large group of people faced with an extreme situation, isolated from the outside world and fighting to survive. Both dramas feature sort of a disease and a mastermind behind the situation. In both dramas characters need to figure out the true nature of the situation in order to escape.
Same basketball theme but you're my sky has a better story and cast.
Felt Our Days was disappointing

Playful and charming female and male lead. Strong romantic plot. Historical drama. The famale loves first the male lead. They faces together all the problems.
Both dramas gave me similar vibes. Pachinko involves forbidden love like The Hymn of Death.
Both are set during the period of Japanese occupation in Korea.

- Rich ML likes being alone and keeps talking about how he loves staying alone, but ends up with a hilarious, dorky, heartwarming little family... Both ML's hugeass houses serve as their bases. Everyone is practically living together.
- Both FLs are kickass, smart, hardworking characters who are also adorably sweet and kind
- Both MLs are extremely dorky sweethearts underneath but keep an ultra-cool, elegant, astute facade in front of the rest of the world. Only their inner circle family see them in pouty baby mode.
- Easy blend of physical and dialogue comedy that works very well
