Three young men—Dong Gu, an unlucky aspiring film director; Jun Gi, an eccentric actor; and Du Sik, a lazy freelance writer—open a guesthouse called “Waikiki” in Itaewon to fund their film. Despite their lack of experience, they dive into the challenge.

They are joined by Dong Gu’s practical sister Seo Jin, single mother Yun A with her mysterious baby, and Dong Gu’s ex-girlfriend Su A, creating a chaotic and uneasy household.

However, Yeong Oh lacks empathy towards his patients due to his antisocial personality disorder.

One day, traffic policewoman Gye Jin Sung sees a murder in front of her, which was disguised as a traffic accident. She rushes the victim to Hyunsung hospital, where her crush Surgeon Hyun Suk Joo, of the cardiothoracic section, and Surgeon Yeong Oh operate on him. Unfortunately, the patient dies and she starts suspecting Surgeon Yeong Oh of foul play. Meanwhile, a series of bizarre patient deaths start occurring at the hospital and Yeong Oh starts investigating it.

An emotional journey that follows a brain scientist who is obsessive about figuring out new technologies to access the consciousness and memories of the brain. His life goes sideways when his family falls victim to a mysterious accident, and he uses his skills to access memories from his wife’s brain to piece together the mystery of what actually happened to his family and why.

The drama draws a love story between two co-workers at an insurance company, with Kim Ji Hoon playing the company's smart-as-a-whip lawyer. Because he carries the hurt of having been abandoned by his birth mother, he doesn't easily open his heart to others. Jin Pal Kang is a 25-year-old employee of the company who becomes responsible for her five younger adopted siblings after her parents meet with sudden deaths

Cha Jung Han is a detective for a special investigation team. He is busy with investigating violent cases including drugs and gangs, but one day he takes in his niece Eun Ae and struggles to raise her.

Han Ye Seul is a single mother who raises her 5-year-old son alone. She is Cha Jung Han’s first love.

SIMILARITY

1. not an idol/fan dynamic, but a high school setting. the male lead is broken, lonely, and completely torn apart, shunned by society, while the girl is loved by everyone and does everything she can to save him. she is extremely protective of him, making the story just as bittersweet as this drama.

2. while idol I is much more serious, head over heels adds comedic aspects to lighten the heavier topics. still, the emotional weight remains strong, and this drama is a complete masterpiece that will get you so freaking hooked. the chemistry is absolutely off the charts.

3. the male lead’s backstory is complex and heartbreaking, to the point that you will literally cry. he is torn, damaged, and misunderstood, yet deeply kind and selfless. although he seems rude and ignorant at first, he turns out to be incredibly precious and someone you just want to protect at all costs.

4. the female lead is deeply obsessed with him, just like se na here is in love with the male lead. she is initially drawn to him because of his beauty, not because he did something for her. their emotional scenes are intense and powerful, showing a love that grows despite pain and misunderstanding.

Both shows demonstrate a government worker going undercover in a gang to try to bring them down. They both showcase how the main character changes (for the worse) through their undercover roles.

I’m surprised no one recommended this.

In 100 Days My Prince, the ML is a crown prince - a royalty. In Glory, he is an official. So a few differences too. Both are delightful dramas.

Both FLs arrive in the world in some magical way and learn they have a destined match there. Both FLs assume SML is their match, while continuingly crossing paths with their true match, the ML. Both dramas have a similar vibe and characters.

Both female leads take on false identities to get to where they are. Both struggle to find a standing on their own in the harsh world, so they start to realize that the only way to survive and get ahead is to lie. Slowly, the lies that they started to survive keep multiplying because the pressure to not get caught and stay ahead only grows through time. While their greed for the finer things in life changes.

Love Designer is similar to Wannabe because:

Hase Taiga who has been working part-time at the small restaurant "Tanomi" for three years, was once a promising young man as the ace of the university's relay team, but his past was ruined by poor performance. Meanwhile, Park Rin, from South Korea, a graduate student studying animation is busy working on her assignments. Just when she feels relieved after somehow managing to submit her assignment just before the deadline, she receives a notice to move out of her student dormitory... However, for a foreigner, finding housing in Japan is not an easy task, and she is exhausted both physically and mentally... Then the two have a chance encounter at Tanomi. Rin is moved by the onigiri Taiga serves her, and her hunger and tiredness are gradually satisfied. Taiga is captivated by Rin's smile as she eats them deliciously. And the moment their eyes meet, an irresistible thrill flows between them.
