In both drama the mc is an unconventional teacher that tries to help their students and make them better people. In both drama there are heavy topics that are addressed both through touching monologues and dialogues and through comedy.

Basically the mcs are teachers that are trying to teach some morals and new mindsets to their students so as to help them not become pieces of trash later on. One of course tries to teach them in more extreme ways than the other. Both drama address heavy societal topics and deliver strong messages.

The male leads in both dramas are poor and have the “bad boy” vibe.

“The smile has left your eyes” is way darker overall and the ml is actually cruel and dangerous.
While in “My dear loser monster romance” it’s nothing really serious.

The story is different in both dramas.

Semantic Error is the most recent hit of its genre and despite not being very similar in story, people who watch Blue of Winter might want to know about this.

This contains adultery but you won't hate this fact. Rather you would be rooting for them. Searching happiness is every person's right, and this is beautifully potrayed in this series.

This is same, about adultery but unlike "The scent" which took adultery really lighly, "The World of the married " takes it another level. It shows the reality of the married world, the amount hatred one can have after getting cheated in marraige. The plot is fantastic and is a must watch.

Remove the time-travel aspect of Legally Romance, and it's almost the same touching drama as I Don't Love You Yet (or it's many other remakes from Taiwan, Korea, Thailand, etc)

-Pair of best-buds, with a heart-warming friendship & a wholesome bond
-Leads approaching their 30's (28 to be exact)
-First confessions gone wrong & lots of bad timing, missed chances, etc.
-ML's silent, secret, unrequited love for the FL...
-Spunky, outspoken, independent & competent FLs....
-Annoying, gaslight-y ex-boyfriends who don't deserve a second chance,
-Disappearing/ MIA ex's who don't value the FL's identity, career aspirations, etc (which is a direct contrast to how supportive the ML's are, in comparison!)
-High-school/ College flashbacks, and a group of classmates which meets up regularly for batch-reunions!
-Ren's song for Yo, and Lu Xun's wish-bottle for Qian Wei ('nuff said!) IYKYK! :P

Basically, Exhibits proving Lu Xun & Ishida Ren as dream boyfriends! ^^ IDLYY is a must-watch for those who loved (& teared up a little) watching the story! :')

They both have settings way back in high school.
They have the same concept of going back to back with present and past.
Both have superior line up of OST.
Chemistry of among the leads are on top.

Spoiler:
