The female lead is diagnosed with an incurable cancer... Before that she is considerate a loser at her work-field and treated as a doormat. After hearing her diagnosis.. she starts to rebel.
The male lead is somebody the female lead admired at first (because of his great ability at work), but later on grow on greatly disappointed at (because of his terrible temper and attitude towards other people)..
The female lead starts slowly to change the male lead.
Both fall in love.

Both have a female lead, who have an admiration for her boss at work and is being a doormat at her office until she discover she had cancer. She decides then to stop putting up with everything. She hides her illness from her relatives (and only one remaining parent) and tries to change her life. She also falls in love.

Both have an office romance.
A girl who wants to change her whole life.

Both have someone with either near death experience or actually death and both find out things they didn't know before they were dead.

-Leads were childhood friends but had to leave each others' side and met several years later as adults but with a twist of unexplainable gender switch.

If u (by any chance )want to see it's Chinese version then "My Roommate Is a Detective" has the same plot. It's the exact copy of "Secret Royal Inspector".

-Main plot in both is about the ability of ML in FNOS and of FL in TMS to see ghosts and how they are using it to help them
-Both are romcom

-Not a fantasy drama however it deals with new characters in every episode and you get to see their bad sides. It focuses on juvenile kids and underaged criminals and their wrongdoings.
FL is extremely strict and badass while she follows the law.
These type of dramas are extremely interesting imo.

Both are 1-episode drama specials.

In both specials the main lead comes into possession of banned book that causes them issues and changes their life drastically.

Modern Girl focuses on a friendship between lady from a noble family and her handmaiden. The story is set during japanese colonial rule.

The Red Teacher focuses on friendship between teacher and his student. The story is set in 1980's

- Mothers whose children go to the same school.
- Prestigious school drama.
- Mothers have secret past drama with each other (e.g. Friend having an affair)
- Focuses on the friendships and betrayals of the mothers.
- A murder/suicide.

Both movies has short stories within. They are heart warming, touching movies. Worth rewatch value. Some part doesn’t make sense but good intention

FLs are both feisty
MLs don't know how to handle the FLs and get flustered
MLs gets jealous easily
Both leads fall for each other pretty quickly
The chemistry in both are so cute
Both have a similar feel even though the story is different
Both are short dramas
Both are a light easy watch

Both shows are comedy shows. That are done terribly. But maybe it's just not my type of humour, idk.
However, if you DID find SCOY funny (are you okay? (i'm just joking lol)), you'll most likely enjoy YYY too. And vice versa.

YYY has slightly more realistic and more developed characters. But it has one major downside. Its terrible way of portraying trans women. I guess it was supposed to be comedic and funny but to me it felt more like whoever wrote these characters was transphobic and was making fun of transgender women. In this aspect SCOY did way better job. There's a really great transgender character in the show and in my opinion she's the best character in this series.

Despite being awful for most of the time, both shows do give us some rather nice scenes showing true, beautiful friendship. There are a few lessons about love too.

Woo Tae Kyung joins the Saebit Boys High School Council with the intentions to make friends, inadvertently meeting his first love.

I finished Legend of the Blue Sea. I watched a bit of Goblin & felt like it was very similar to each other.

Basically it's a person from the modern world, somehow bumps into a person from the past and they are not fully human which they fall in love with the human. Both contains historical backgrounds that affects present characters.

Note: I dropped Goblin though.

Both dramas deal with serious themes, difficult relationships and hard life situations.

Relationships in Left Right are quite dysfunctional and they are more about family.
Relationships in More Than Blue are mostly romantic but still have to deal with a lot of hardship.

Both dramas will completely destroy you and leave you crying with each episode.

They are similar in themes but More Than Blue is more gentle/poetic/almost lyrical while Left Right is very harsh/realistic/dark.
