One of the best and scariest dramas I have ever watched. The storyline was so great. I like this drama very. good story
Student - teacher/mentor relationship in high school/Catholic boarding school. Difference is genders - in one teacher/older is woman, in another man.
Both are light and really nice watch. In both dramas student is very cute, quite popular/active, playful/trouble maker, with lovely facial expressions.
In both leads have very good chemistry, relationship development and despite age/status difference it doesn't shown as much taboo / "cross the line" feel.

In both leads have very good chemistry, relationship development and despite being taboo subject, in both dramas you don't have "cross the line" feel.
In both dramas student is very cute, quite popular/active, playful/flirting, with lovely facial expressions. Also because of crush on teacher becomes class president, though before never cared about school activity or study.

Relationship between a male student/sportsman and a female teacher/coach, age gap (but not very big).
both are sweet, beautiful romance developments, with beautiful FL and lovely ML.
both are mini series (overall 4-5 hour watch) and not dragged.

not similar plot, but:
***same actress and actor as mains and almost same chemistry (Bie Thassapak & Fah Yongwaree)
***love triangles, love squares
***in both dramas major part of plot is infidelity (in both ML has mistress, in one drama our FL is wife, in another mistress)
***in both dramas mistress becomes quite obsessed/afraid to lose ML in second half of the drama.

Both are practically movies (THOD is mini series but has movie vibe). in both:
***Infidelity and love between people who are married/engaged.
***Tragic / forbidden love
***century ago time period (approximately)
***main plot is love/romance but also very well shown "war time" (in one Japanese occupation, in another Vietnam war)
***some dark vibe but also beautiful and great cinematography.
***amazing chemistry between leads.
***sexual relationship (though it's more shown in "obsessed" which is 18+ with amazing sex scenes)
***Both have POV from the ones who cheat and those relationships aren't shown as "bad thing", but both dramas also show what damage can this cause for them and people around them.

Both about infidelity and love between people who are married/engaged to other people.
Both have sexual tension and good chemistry.
Both have sexual tension and good chemistry.
**Both about infidelity and love between people who are married (in Club friday FL isn't married) to another.
**Both have POV from the ones who cheat and those loves aren't shown as "only bad", though both also shows what damage can this cause, how painful is it for cheater spouses.
**in both main leads are very beautiful, have really good chemistry and sexual relationships (sex isn't taboo, but in "Obsessed it is fully shown and is really 18+).
***Obsessed is movie, much darker and also much better/different level. it's also not modern time. really great movie.

Both really good, high quality/production level dramas, with interesting characters and relationships, character developments (not only ML but also female leads).
Not quite similar plot but has many similarities:
*kind hearted, nice, "always smiling" ML whose life and personality changes because of actions female (in MFS it's FL who loves him but he doesn't, in TIM it's SFL who is ML's gf and he loves her very much)
*after those events, ML's changing and few years, he is very mad at this female and wants revenge.
*ML's revenge involves/is against FL
*FL loves ML much earlier when he first loved SFL and approximately half of the drama doesn't love FL

While Ashes of Love is more drama-driven and The Romance of the Tiger and Rose is more comedy-driven, there are several overlapping tropes from one story to the other.
1. silly, childlike FL with no experience with love
2. super-in-love ML who gets a dark side in the last arc of the drama
3. second FL who's determined to get the ML and is willing to overthrow stuff to attain her goals
4. Silly supporting cast: The moon god and the water snake in Ashes of Love remind me of the ML and FL's attendants in Tiger and Rose
5. Sacrifice for your loved one (this is pretty huge, here- both ML's do *spoiler alert* end up stabbed because someone's overthrowing the government)
I know the tones are different, but the story line is similar, and the core values seem aligned! Highly recommend both
