Gakkou no Kaidan has been compared to Hana Yori Dango particularly by Japanese audiences. Both have a clique of wealthy students (F4/Platinum 8), who bully the other students out of boredom.

They have the same comedic style, which is they don't take themselves seriously. They are shows you can easily binge watch.

Both are medical dramas that have mystery elements in them. The main male and female leads both have a big age gap. The main character in both dramas have an incurable illness. The ethics and morality of being a doctor are questioned in both.

The Untamed is the parent story of the Living Dead so I advise you to watch The Untamed first to know the background story of this movie.

Feel so similar. Cold Woman/Warm Man, Bad Woman/Good Man. The female character is beautiful, intelligent, badass but evil (but actually deep inside, she is is kindhearted just like SH in Big issues). She loves money and power, she does everything to make a girl work for her. The male lead is warm, kind. They don’t like each other (not really) but then they have to work together. Oh, I forgot, she also has a team to work with her, a bodyguard, a secretary,... I mean it is exactly the same motive with Big issue (but it’s not as good as)

the story is almost similar. it just has a difference. A WereWolf Boy tells of KIM SUNYI, an old woman who lives in the United States who returned to Korea and met her grandchildren, they returned home in the countryside where KIM SUNYI recalls remembering the time she was seventeen years old. in the countryside he found a wild boy about nineteen years old in the vicinity of their house, his blood type could not be identified and he could not read or speak. even though he behaved like a wild animal, the kind-hearted KIM SUNYI's mother adopted him and named him CHULSOO. KIM SUNYI And His Mother Assume CHULSOO is one of more than 60,000 orphans in the Korean War.

The main male lead is hopelessly in love with female lead. They experience separation for extended period of time but the feeling never change. Male lead actively pursue the female lead.

The angst and the vibe are to me similar.

The angst, the amnesia, the terrible female antagonist who would go through anything for the male lead.

I have a lover is better made though and it is shorter. The leads are also better looking and less theatrical, more natural. The chemistry between the main leads is far more superb in I have a lover. However, if you're experiencing withdrawal after watching I have a lover, and Here to Heart is not a cure, and you have watched This is My Love, well, try this First Love again. Secret may do the trick, or Never gone.

You don't get to choose your family but if you did the bonds would be the same. While watching Shoplifters I got the feeling of dejavu and then realized that I felt the same way while watching Mother. Both deal with children in unhappy/ unsafe homes and finding solace elsewhere. With Mother you get a more drawn out story while Shoplifters is a more condensed version. I highly recommend both.

Both are similar in the sense of: Bestfriends falling in Love

I feel that L&L is the fast version of IDLYY because both have a male best friend falling in love with the female bestfriend; female bestfriend falls in love with another guy, but female bestfriend finally realizes at the end that its the male bestfriend that her heart really belongs to, even if she is on the verge of marrying her boyfriend.

They are different in the sense that , L&L has a government mandated partner that is matched with you, so female bestfriend had that, and she fell in love with the guy for real, even if its just an arranged marriage. In IDLYY, the other guy is an ex boyfriend, who returned to be the current boyfriend, that the female lead falls in love with enough to decide to marry or atleast, get engaged with.

But on both stories, both female leads decide to go with the male bestfriend.
