Half of the story line is based on true facts from The King's Women's story. Gong Shun Li or known as Li Ji / Li Er, had a son ( Tian Ming ) with her second disciple brother - Jing Ke before she was enforced into Qin Palace and later became the Qin Emperor Ying Zheng's women. This story is part of the continuous events happened after Qin Emperor Ying Zheng killed Jing Ke and lady Gong Shun Li, about how Jing Tian Ming and few other tribes how they rebelled & survived under the ruthless Qin enforcement. Other half of the story is just a legend and a journey of discovery of the legendary "Mo Zi" inventions.
Well it has the same bromance vibe and melodrama family the difference is that focus at sports but overall i enjoyed this drama you will not regret it if you watch it in my opinion!
You can find there the same kind of sweet chinese humor. Both dramas have a lot of magic and romance.
- Yoon Hyun Min is a main lead in both dramas
- both dramas deal with crimes against women
- both deal with law and law enforcement

in both dramas the main charas are some kind of villain and the love story is pretty dark and both are masterpieces, Aishite tatte is full of twists I'd never expected and it comes with handsome male lead, Byakuyako is a lot darker overall and a lot more twisted, both are worth watching
There is an episode of Bad Guys dealing with serial murders in the rain that reminded me of the movie Memories of Murder where the female victims where all killed when it rains.
The series Tunnel was inspired by the unsolved Hwaseong serial murders just like the movie Memories of Murder.
The atmosphere these two dramas give off is too alike. Mystery. It keeps you guessing. Addictive, wanna watch next episode ASAP, and painfully bearable at times. They both have the same actor Kento Kaku. If there's a Japanese word for Makjang (Korean), let me know what it is called. I don't think this genre of dramas is an equivalence to the Makjang genre in Korean dramas. This is in some ways alike Makjang but is added another ingredient on top. This is a type of J-dramas that I haven't known its term yet. It is more realistic than makjang and is added a Japanese society into it. It has a Japanese flavour, duh!
I find Makjang cheap, but the J-drama ones are made better.

In Behind Your Smile Zhao Yiting only sees his revenge, but ends up falling for Lei Xinyu in the process. However, Another Miss Oh Park Do-kyung gets his revenge on his runaway bride, but finds out he is mistaken and has spoiled another woman's wedding. He gets entangled in her life and ends up falling for her.
The premise sounds pretty similar. The rich guy moving to a poor neighborhood to start from the bottom and the poor girl that helps him out.
Scarlet Heart is set during the reign of Kangxi ( 1661 – 1722) while Rule the World is set at beginning of Qing Dynasty. The male lead is Huang Taiji (the first actual Emperor of Qing Dynasty ) while his father is Nurhaci, is the founder of Qing Dynasty.
Scarlet Heart and Rule the World have a similar plot: a woman who goes back in times and gets entangled with the princes of the reigning dynasty.
So if you like the first drama, you could like also the second.

Both are absolutely amazing! Really similar. In signal, they communicate through walkie talkie, but here they communicate through dream. If you love Signal, you absolutely will love this movie.
The drama-version of The Myth has a lot in common with Ultra Reinforcement. Both star Chinese Paladin actors (Hu Ge and Wallace Huo, respectively). The premise is similar. A modern guy stumbles into the past and changes things around him by bringing knowledge of the future, similar to Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court by Mark Twain. But while Ultra Reinforcement stays a parody, The Myth builds an epic-long story and keeps the lead in the past for a lot longer. Unlike Ultra Reinforcement, the character in the Myth ends up being changed by the time period. Also, there's that whole switching back and forth between the lead and the people in the future trying to figure out where he went. If you're intrigued, try it out.
It actually is very similar to another enjoyable parody Royal Treasure with Luo Show, Huang Bo, Sun Hong Lei, Zhang Xi Ying, Huang Lei, Wang Xun, and Zhao Zanilla. I've never seen Running Man, but I imagine it's a lot like it but in a historical setting. The element of parody is intense. You have to treat it like a comedy, and then be surprised by the more touching moments. Royal Treasure's end is more heartfelt though.
they both deal with affairs in a more realistic way. the men in both kinda "love" the other more, right up until the end. they both have great cinematography and open endings.
