Japanese BL at Its Finest !
Japanese BL never disappoints us. Ever. And this one? I am officially head over heels.
This movie delivers a truly unique story, something you don’t come across easily. While watching it, I genuinely felt like I was witnessing something intensely captivating, almost unreal. The whole experience felt like a fierce magical creation—powerful, artistic, and emotionally consuming in the best way possible.
The emotions were deep and beautifully expressed, and the dance sequences? Absolutely top-notch. Every movement carried meaning; every expression told a story. I am not exaggerating when I say I was completely obsessed. This was worth every second of waiting.
There really isn’t much to explain about this masterpiece, because some things are simply meant to be felt, not analyzed. Think of it as a gift—a blessing dropped into the world of Japanese BL for us to cherish.
There is no way you can ignore this movie. It is beautiful, stunning, and visually mesmerizing. It pulls you in quietly and leaves a lasting impression on your heart.
So if you want to bless your eyes, heart, and soul with something genuinely special, this is it.

This movie left me astonished!
All I can say is that this was just a fantastic movie. I have watched hundreds of Asian dramas and BL"s but I have never written a review for a single one. This movie literally made me just now create an account on MyDramaList just so I can tell everyone just how amazing this movie really is.PLEASE READ IF PLANNING ON WATCHING:
Reading other people reviews was rather frustrating because of how they were rating the movie lower solely because of the fact it lacked a whole bunch of NC scenes. That is insane to me and saying things like "this movie isn't a real BL movie because they didn't focus on the romance aspect" is insane to me. The chemistry and romance was there, you felt all the emotions and could feel the yearning for each other. Yes, there were few kissing scenes, but the ones that they did have left a lasting impact and had purpose which made the impact of the kiss much more effective. The issue nowadays is people aren't looking for plot and story in relation to BL, they just want to see two guys all over each other, kissing and having sex. If that's the case go watch one of the many GMMTV shows where that's a good portion of the plot.
This was a beautifully produced movie with insanely good music and acting that is out of this world. And the male leads were the perfect mix of beautiful and handsome. If you are actually looking to see love blossom over a shared love for dance then this is 100% the movie for you. If you are looking for a movie where it's 70% sex and only 30% plot then I HIGHLY recommend for you to go find something else to watch.
I hope that people will get over their concerning need for sexually explicit content in BL dramas so they will be able to give this movie the rating to truly deserves which is a 10/10.
I will say that the ending did bother me a bit. Im glad it ended on a happy note but it felt as if that shouldn't have been the end and there's way more to their story that as a viewer I would love to see. So if they are planning on producing another movie then that was a great ending and if not then it could have been better. Still I would recommend this movie over and over again and will be rewatching it many times to come.

mesmerizing, need a sequel movie and/or a full series
Overall: kudos to everyone involved in this because, wow, just wow. Aired on Netflix https://www.netflix.com/watch/81759550Content Warnings: past PTSD, non/dub con kissing/touching, internalized homophobia
What I Liked
- tension, chemistry, kissing
- acting
- I can't even imagine how challenging the dance training was, they all looked great (not a pro, I had dance training)
- how supportive the women were (I'd love to see a future movie/series with the characters training and dancing m/m and f/f as well as m/f and m/f, it's my head cannon at least)
Room For Improvement
- started with the present then went to a one-year flashback
- the 2 guys that gave exposition dumps multiple times
- several scenes were too dark and more light was needed on faces
- the voice saying 10Dance at the beginning and end
- the ending was abrupt, definitely need a second movie or a series to flesh things out

the tension was unbelievable
"did you feel like a princess?"oh my god. i seriously have no words. this movie was so incredibly well done. the sexual tension between the two of them - one that lingers all throughout the film, it's quite literally endless, they don't even have to be on-screen together because it's still there, burrowing itself within the story.
that train scene? fucking legendary. the camera movements, the colour and lighting. THEM. that whole scene was so beautiful and the way they both lost control and fell into the temptation and desire, the kisses back and forth along the train, the movements and their hands being connected together. MY JAW DROPPED?
the slow-burn in my personal opinion was also what fueled the film to its maximum, it was aided by the tension so well and you could just feel the yearning, almost through your veins istg. the way they looked at each other, that scene where sugiki was supposed to hold his hips and waist as he moved but he stared for one milli-second was golden.
i literally could not breathe when suzuki went "lick'em, eat'em and make'em come." THAT WAS SO CRAZY.
they were so sensual and so intimate and the technicality of the ballroom dance and latin american dance was just top tier. sugiki being the symbolism of a grim reaper and suzuki of an angel >>
in conclusion? THIS WAS ONE OF THE BEST FILMS OF 2025 AND I NEED A PART 2.

A feast for our senses
10 minutes into the movie I felt regret already about not being able to enjoy it in a cinema setting. This movie would’ve deserved it. Big time!
The cinematography? No notes. 10/10
The depiction of two quite different but equally difficult complex characters and their unique courtship?
Amazingly portrayed in all their multilayered personas by Takeuchi Ryoma and Machida Keita. The chemistry could melt any screen.
As viewer I got captivated by their performance from the start and didn’t get released before the rolling credits.
The story.
For me there were no weak moments or missing points. We got shown an essential major part of their journey with enough background story strewn in to illustrate their respective mindsets. Worked for me.
And we got released at at point of their storyline, where their courtship and dance goals are not finished and fulfilled yet, but an important step, which felt and was monumental in itself, was taken towards each other and their goals.
So I am satisfied with it.
(But wouldn’t mind a sequel on bit! Please, please, please!)
Their dance at the end - a statement couldn’t be more beautifully made.
Japan. You did it again! 👏👏👏👏👏
I hope, this movie gets the attention and recognition on an international scale, it deserves.
I was either smiling or cutting onions the whole time by the sheer beauty of this movie and my joy, to watch it finally.

Parts of their stories are shortened through dialogue, but the conversations are grounded in everything else. The kind you might have with a friend or a sister after you overhear a phone conversation or something happens. The framework which makes this all work is well-constructed.
Together, it's a film about women's experiences in So Korea. The men don't come off well - it's also a film about toxic masculinity and the ways men bully women, abuse positions of power, or just don't get it. In one storyline, it's also about the ways men bully other men and perpetuate those patterns.
All of that fits with what I've read and heard about sexism and social pressure in So Korea. It's a bit of reality in the face of endless lovely handsome oppa series.
It's not a bleak film however. The end feels a bit out of place but I can understand why. It told its stories and it was time to wrap things up. All that was left to say was the words of three women, supporting and looking out for each other.

i will be the odd one out... this much ado about nothing
will start off with a basic fact, i think ballroom dancing is repetitive & boring. when u 1st see a competition it's glamorous cause of how they r dressed (especially the women) & the moves r cool, but the more u watch - it's basically the same moves in each dance, performed the same by all the couples on the floor. yeah others might enjoy this, to me this not entertaing after the novelty wears off.& ironically or not, i found this BL to be much the same. i aint faulting the actors (that brought their A game) - but the plot - where did it take us?!? the culmination wasn't even the 10 dance competition - which this freakin movies is titled after & the illusion of an open end, was a farce.
1st off my favorite character here was Tajima Aki (Suzuki Shinya's dance partner) i liked her personality & even though she & Yagami Fusako were treated like a prop - like marionette's to use when needed & then tossed aside, cause they weren't the mains, Tajima was still very visible to me. Yagami just made me feel sad.
the mains, was this even a love story?!? & NO i don't need sex or even a kiss (mentioning the kisses OMG but it felt like they weren't insync even there) for it to indicate this a romance. yeah Suzuki fell hard & fast, even showed signs of jealously, frustration & yearning. while Sugiki had eyes only for the dance, even if he ran after Suzuki, kissed him & then offered him the last dance. what he really offer of himself?!?
when Suzuki wanted to get closer he pushed him, saying they were enemies. after every woman Sugiki encountered, told him that the one thing he lacked was 'love'. so when he finally had a chance to open up & give of himself - he put up a wall & pushed Suzuki away.
so the end, where he came to Suzuki & requested he accompany him on the dance floor, to me that was his way of getting Suzuki back into the 10 dance competition (which he had no intention of being a part off) after the way Sugiki rejected him. the fact Suzuki smiled, means he is as deluded as some of the comments i read - thinking Sugiki is now ready for them to be together. heck from what we had in this movie, was there even a grand anything or just intense psychical attraction that could amount to nothing more, then a one night stand?!??? the writer's gave us nothing to draw from IMO.
2 plus hrs & i didn't see any growth in Sugiki, not one that would indicate he is ready to put another human above his ambition's to win or above the dance. maybe i am being to harsh, but i don't get the hype, yeah great looking guys & they had good chemistry, but does that amount to a great movie? meeh - this was just ok...

The miracle of love
"The miracle of love."A gentle, calm and heartwarming story. I loved it. Romantic love is just a side plot of this movie, in my opinion. It's an April Story but very suitable to watch in December for some coziness. Matsu Takano looked so young and beautiful in this movie, and her voice was just so soft and soothing!
My rating might be a little biased, because the 1990s is one of my favorite eras, and I always love stories about shy introverted characters, with lots of books, and a local bookstore hidden in the corner. April is also my birth month. Plus, that introverted character loves sitting on a park bench reading a book, and riding a bicycle around the neighborhood? Perfection.
I may write a longer review later.
By the way, I might also fall for a smart guy who works at a hidden bookstore. :)

Dancers indeed
first; the two main actors were fantastic there is never a moment when i felt that they weren't a professional dancers. their emotional scenes were captivating. and the chemistry is damn fantastic.the choreography, the costume, the attitude of the actors themselves. I was rooting for them and was clapping like the audience in the movie like a maniac lmao.
The cinematography was beautiful & the music was totally good but i was hoping for something good at the end but it was good overall but feel like there is something missing at the ending like can you Imagine I was captivated & on cloud nine with their finale 10 dance of pure happiness and suddenly then they drop me with the end credit. I was literally stun for a minute. Was it been really already 2 hours!! i really didn't see the time passing seriously the drop was so sudden that I almost feel like rewatching lmao.
It was perfect yet seems incomplete It's really hard to tell how I really feel about it.
Overall, I don't regret watching this and enjoyed it!!!

Great Visuals and Enticing Moments but Ultimately Left Me Wanting
10 Dance started off well then lagged a bit in the middle and finally did pull off some of the anticipated emotional moments. Ryoma Takeuchi is physically stunning and he is adept at switching from exuberant dominance to a sensitive and vulnerable man in his roles. Keita Machida’s nuanced performance which was revealed through his body language and his eyes is a marvel to behold. Shiori Doi and Anna Ishii make the most of their subordinate roles with perfect grace and honest emotions. Where this was lacking for me was in two areas. First, the slow build attraction sets up expectations for the viewer but when Sugiki turns and rushes down to the train, enters the car and kisses Suzuki, this was the moment when there should have been a leaning in to the erotica. Instead, we are treated to a chaotic “dance” scene that broke the tension. This approach and retreat I realize was used for a reason in the movie but it left me wanting. Second, we know from the dialogue that dance is love yet I only saw brief moments of the love and joy of dancing in the honor dance. The majority of it displayed attraction for a partner. Overall I enjoyed the movie but found myself comparing it to Shall We Dance (1996) with Koji Yakusho. His character is initially drawn to the dance studio by lust; however, he is soon captivated by dance itself and falls in love with the joy of dancing. Was this review helpful to you?

I'm speechless... it was just too good
I was halfway through the movie when i read spoilers saying it was a sad ending. I was like "shit if i knew i wouldn't have watched" but then thank god i watched. It was beautiful. Started with a playful banter then made me cry ugly and the ending couldn't wipe the smile off my face...Now i get others when they said it was not a happy or sad or even open ending but a perfect ending. Especially when the manga is ongoing they've not stepped in and created an ending. I do hope Shiguki wins before he retires.. cz he is the most relatable character to me cz I'm exactly like him. I'd work hard even if it'd kill me and go by the rules. I can reject the person i love if i feel I'd love him too much and there's a chance that I'd get hurt. Everything he did was soo relatable. Like how he never gets his love cz he's perfect...
As for Suzuki he was gorgeous and seemed like a real professional dancer the whole movie... i could feel his playful side and the reason both of them fell for each other..
As for the ending i guess we'll have to wait for the manga to end to know what happens... i think it'll be a happy ending manga❤️

A Captivating Movie
Well, well, well... First of all, the two main actors were fantastic. I don't know their background but I fully believed they were professional dancers. Their emotional scenes were captivating. And the chemistry... Hard to make thing better. 10/10The dance part. Like I said, I'm neophyte so I cannot say anything deep about it. But I can say it was a feast for the eyes. The choreography, the costume, the attitude of the actors themselves. I was rooting for them and was clapping like the audience in the movie. Again 10/10
The cinematography was beautiful & the music completely fit the theme. I was still hoping for something that would surprise me but it was somehow quite classic. 9/10
But something did bother me in the story itself. More specifically about the characters themselves. Sometime I really struggled to understand why they were reacting the way they did. Like I was missing a crucial piece. It could be the format or just me. 8/10
And then the ending... Imagine I was captivated & on cloud nine with their finale. 10 dance of pure happiness... And then they drop me with the end credit. I was literally stun for a minute. Was it been really already 2h ? I really didn't see the time passing... The drop was so sudden that I almost feel withdrawal syndrome. It was that violent. I cannot rate that ending. In one hand, I'm mad and in another, it was perfect. It's really hard to tell how I really feel about it. */10
Overall, I don't regret watching this as I completely enjoyed it. A must watch in my humble opinion. 9.5/10

Finding One's Path
Somehow this movie gives me the feel of "When the Weather is Fine" but on a lighter note. The different seasons reflect the different thoughts of Hye Won's life.
Winter ... when almost everything is freezing, or hibernating ... and her life seem to be frozen also in time, not knowing what to do but returns to a life she once escaped from.
Spring ... when new sprouts come alive and gives hope ... shaking the blues of winter
Summer ... when planting and reaping is at its peak ... it is also a time of seeing the fruit of her labor ... and what she is trying to understand, her mom, even her future, what she really wants in life becomes clearer.
Fall - when the dried persimmons are ready to be kept for wintertime ... ready to face where she left off ...
She did leave without saying goodbye to her friends ...
Then returned ... now on a happier feeling as someone came back before her.
All along these seasons, she remembers her mom, coupled with what she cooks that suits the season. She learned them from her mom. As she plants, it shows patience and expectation of her harvest. This gives me a deeper appreciation of planting as it cultivates a character of patience, hope, and love. There is so much introspection in this movie. The alone time, the quiet planting and harvesting are times of reflection.
Somehow, the seasons represented also her own season of maturity - of finding clarity, of contentment, and of hope.
I have dreamed of living in a countryside, slower pace of life, with fresh air, no smoke or traffic. Many people think that life is better in the city and the movie tells me, it is a matter of seeing the beauty of where we are planted. It does not matter if it is the city or the country, what matters is - is it home?

Engaging production of love and dance
This lived up to the expectation of two polar opposites falling in love in the world of dance. One fiery, bold and full of passion on and off the dance floor. The other elegant, polished and a perfectionist. Visually and tempermentally contrasting, they fought to find the balance. What one lacked the other supplied in movement style and execution. They sharpened each other whilst falling in love. Sugiki and Suzuki were well matched but never equals. They commanded the screen. Every frame held my attention from the moment it began to the end. The storyline was as expected and then it wasn't. They both admired each other for their technique and style. Being drawn to one another reached a head on the train. That scene was artistically and beautifully done. Previous hesitations, gave way to honesty. It is within this honesty, that Suzuki pushes and prods to get more of him. Sugiki opens the doors for him to reach to greater heights. Their love is apparent in every action. Their love language - dance. The final scene was as I hoped it would be. Previously, Sugiki rejected a night with Suzuki acknowledging they could never be one. In the final scene, in front of the entire Japanese Dance competition, Sugiki proved his love. He chose Suzuki as his dance partner. Unwilling to face the hurt of seeing Sugiki dance with his partner, Suzuki's back was turned. Then he heard him. Shocked, hesitating for a brief moment, he reaches for the outstretched hand and follows. At the end, uncontrolled, Suzuki kisses him. He responds. His parting words give Suzuki the clarity he needs. He smiles.
I loved the entire production. Machida and Takeuchi filled it admirably. My only drawbacks were that even in the heated part of their relationship, it still felt a bit clinical. Reserved. The kiss on the train did not up the pace in their interractions at it still felt restrained. There was no hunger from Sugiki. If this was a parallel love, where was Suzuki's voice? I'm hoping there is another part that would place them head to head and equals. Also, the backdrop for the Cuban style community was admirably done but it lacked a bit of credibility.
Final take, this was worth the wait and the watch.
