Bad acting

Honestly, the biggest problem with this drama is the male and female leads. Their acting feels very stiff and emotionless. They fail to properly express the emotions of their characters, which makes many scenes feel flat and unconvincing. Instead of immersing the audience in the story, their performances make it hard to connect with the characters at all.

The roles themselves have a lot of emotional depth, but the leads simply cannot portray them well. Important moments that should feel powerful or heartbreaking end up feeling empty because the actors cannot deliver the necessary expressions or emotional intensity.

This makes me wonder why the producers didn’t choose stronger actors for these roles. In Chinese entertainment, there are actors who are known for their excellent emotional acting and screen presence, such as He Yu and Esther Yu. Both of them have repeatedly proven their acting ability and versatility in many dramas. They would have been much better choices for these roles because they can truly bring characters to life and convey complex emotions naturally.

So the real question is: why didn’t the producers cast actors like He Yu and Esther Yu instead? With their acting skills and charisma, the characters could have been portrayed far more convincingly, and the drama itself would likely feel much more engaging and memorable.

He Yu and Esther Yu are more suitable and the King and Queen of C-drama and Chinese Entertainment

Great love story in the 70s if you ask me

I was so intrigued to watch this drama with an open mind. I loved the concept and the costumes were on point! I love they made reference to real historical events that happened.
The chemistry between Fang Mu Yang and Fei Ni was really good.
There are so many other characters to mention but I want you to watch it for yourself.
BUT OH HOW THE GREAT AND MIGHTY HAS FALLEN!!!! Not because you have a high status makes you better that anyone else and Feng Lin???? Gosh, she put her nose in Fang Mu Yang and Fei Ni business - things that should not concern her.
She deserved what she got.
WHAT I WANTED TO SEE....But maybe its just me being greedy....
I thought that, we would have gotten a present day clip of how old they are now and maybe telling their grandkids their story from the 70s, etc....think it would have a nice touch.
That is just my opinion

Good story, exciting, creepy

There were so many good plot twists that I never would have guessed. The story is so exciting and often creepy. I think Kang na heul makes great movies, he's a good actor.
But the ending wasn't quite so good. It was an open ending with many questions, but it couldn't have been turned into a happy ending obv.
If the ending had been a little more exciting, or if the open ending had been better, Like in the kmovie " Wall to Wall", I would have given the film even more stars.

But still good acting skills and exciting

I love it but, it could’ve been better

Boyfriend On Demand
When I heard about this drama, i wasn’t interested and I decided to watch to see where it would lead me. I confess that I wanted to hate it sooo bad but the truth is: I LOVE IT.
I live for the fact that it’s a different story and concept and that’s soo refreshing. Love the cast. LOVE her storyline with Eun Ho (Seo Kang Joon).

The problem for me is the fact that the idea is sooo amazing that not exploring the other stories made angry (crying emoji), it had so much potential and it was completely wasted. It would’ve been better if it had at least 22 episodes, where they would explore all of the other storylines (1-2 episodes each) while she is simultaneously falling for the real life male lead and halfway through she would choose to stop it because she’s already in love and the “app” is distracting her from real life.
I was so invested with the airplane/secret agent story, the one with Lee Jae Wook and the Singles inferno one as well.
PS: Lee Soo Hyuk looks ethereal here( in real life as well), I loved it.
Overall I give it 8,5/10 because it’s a good effort.

a nice gl which lose soul after 6 episode.

seriously I appreciate the mature jail type of concept.... but the story got really boring 6 episode. no joke it's really had an unexpected ending. but it just the soul was lose to quickly. but I really love this gl tho. really great stories and some unexpected plot. if love watching gl with mature concept then, this drama is suggested. (all my opinion it's not that bad). (seriously the 500 characters words always annoys the shit out of me cuz that's all I have to say.)

really recommended Thai gl.

A masterpiece

A mix of every good you can think of being put into a medical drama. Plot was very fast paced and well written which doesn't happen much with this genre, so it's a good thing. A good mix of emotionally touching scenes and a good and fun humor code which made it easy to get invested with the cast and the story.

I haven't watched any medical drama in ages, but this was probably one of the best ones among the one i have watched. Triggered me quite abit because of how graphic the scenes are ( It might be abit difficult for sensitive people who doesn't like too much gore) but i stayed through for the plot and Baek Kanghyeok. I adore that man so much! He is such an iconic ML. So much personality and charisma. I did not expect Ju Jihoon to be this good with this type of role. Baek Kanghyeok's team was also a joy to watch and root for, sometimes i sympathize with how he bullies them haha. Their team often gets pushed to the limits which has me on the edge of my seat , i'd say among the core highlights and exciting part of this show

One of my fav scenes was the plot twist for that 'one annoying doctor' . So please finish the show until the end.

Overall a very well made and solid drama

Not a Review Although, I may leave my opinion on this

My main question, after I ask myself, “why am I watching this? (“Out of pure boredom,” I answered), is: What is wrong with the person playing Hae Jun, that he REFUSES to open his lips, or kiss properly, while being given wide, open-mouth kisses from Jae Hun? It’s just so weird and off-putting! It’s not as if that’s the ONLY problem with this series, but it bothers me every time!

The first season was not good and the production has not improved in any way in the second.

And why, for the love of god, does Jae Hun need a physiotherapist? Doesn’t he need some kind of psychotherapy?

I will add a positive comment… I think the actor, Jung Myung-Cheol, who plays JaeHun, is very attractive and is the better actor of the two leads. Maybe, if given a better script, with better direction, and a decent production, he could do well, but this is not it, for sure.

Almost as good as Khemjira

I binged watched this series and I am so glad that i waited for it to finish before watching it. I am a huge fan of alternative bls, we definitely need more of them. I have only two BL's that rank higher than this in my mind and that is Khemjira and Not me! I understand why some people feel the series lost some traction at the end and is entitled to their opinion, for me I really enjoyed the way it ended and if a series can make you cry then for me it has done it's Job. I am really looking forward to more series with this couple as i think they have great chemistry together. We certainly need more alternative BLS and it seems like they are getting better at them. we cant forget that these are supposed to be BLs and so are somewhat expected to be different to Gay Romance Drama/thrillers etc.

This is just my opinion on things. if anyone can recommend any more alternative BLS please let me know.

Quite nice so far (UNFINISHED)

Haven’t finished the series yet so bear with me. One thing that I wanted to note is that I’m finding Dunk’s acting much stiffer than his previous works. I don’t know if he hasn’t adjusted well to his character, anyway I find him pretty “robotic”, his delivery is a bit plain and not really convincing, and personally it throws me out the immersion. Maybe it might change later on but I don’t know, it’s bugging me a bit right now.
Other than that, I like the other characters, the story is convincing and a bit challenging (finally!) and I’m invested. Will be back after finishing it :)

Boyfriend on Demand is a very funny and romantic show. It’s fantasy but still brings something fresh and comedic to the table.
It’s perfect for anybody needing a break from their own life and wanting to enter a new glamorous world, without worrying about anything else. Boyfriend on Demand really sucks you up and keeps you in the bubble filled of romance, comedy and Jisoo!

I think it’s a fresh approach seeing many stories and plots about one woman dating many different men. It feels new since a lot of the dramas I’ve watched often only focus on a few couples who stick to their own partner.

JISOO! I think she really has improved as an actress and I that this role fit Jisoo very well. She really wore so many outfits, it’s crazy! Jisoo really looked stunning in every single one of them. While I of course knew that Mi Rae would be the female lead, I was pleasantly surprised by how much screentime she had. Like she really dominated the show.

Even though I enjoyed Seo Eun Ho and Seo Mi Rae together so much, I’m really happy that she ended up with somebody from reality. I think that gives a clear message about dating AI nowadays too. Seo Mi Rae and Park Gyeong Nam made such a great couple, they were so cute together! Love to see the cute backstories, for example park Gyeong Nam staying at the office even when he didn’t have any deadline to worry about!

I was pretty sceptical about the first 1.5 episodes, but it swiftly improved and reached its peak with episode three.

Lee Ji Yeon was so funny and gorgeous, loved her and I hope she could date Min Jun Yeong.

Could have been better:

Some parts were a bit messy/confusing and I didn’t particularly love the last episode. Boyfriend on Demand is obviously a pretty light-weighted drama, so while I didn’t really expect anything deep, the absence of it is probably one of the things that stop me from connecting to the drama as much as I could have been.
Otherwise don’t really have anything to complain about.

Truly recommend it!

Best episode: Episode 3

Disclaimer: Blackpink is one of my ult groups, hence I might overpraise Jisoo a little but in my eyes she did really well!

Love and loneliness

"Love Me"—the title is so simple and blunt that I hesitated to watch it. 12 hour-long episodes on Viki, a classic drama, excellent acting, a cool script idea, some of their clichés, but they fit the plot. The story of a father, daughter, and son. I like it when the author knows what he wants to tell us from beginning to end. The father's story, in particular, is very honest and believable, but the author went a bit overboard. I won't say more to avoid spoilers. Oh, and the exceptionally beautiful and well-chosen soundtrack 🩵

Hilarious from beginning till the end

A show that's not meant to be taken seriously. There will be some sensitive aspects that kind of made me go ?? it's lowkey offensive lmao but it's nothing too bad. Aside from that, the whole plot is just pure slapstick comedy and the actors' comedic timing amplified it. It's almost like the whole cast are comedians. A recommended watch if you're depressed and need a good laugh. I really enjoyed the enemy to lover between the leads, though i'll have to say i do kind of prefer their fighting dynamic more because the things that the FL did to the ML just have me in tears. Second couple had a completely different dynamic but was equally as enjoyable as the main couple. Plot is also easy to digest and was a breeze to finish. Overall a very fun show to binge

Much better than expected.

Threads of Destiny

I love a rebirth drama that have three things:

1. The leads actually use their knowledge for growth
2. The leads get their revenge, and it is satisfying
3. The leads don’t get stepped on and look stupid.

This drama had all three. I found this drama light and fluffy, with a good-looking cast. There are no surprises in this story it has been done a million times, especially in vertical dramas. So, if you are looking for new and different. You will not find it, except for a twist toward the end. What you will find is a story that is done well for what it was. It was not a big production, but the production was good. It was not a blockbuster, but the writing and directing is decent. It was everything it claimed to be a short, sweet rebirth drama. I enjoyed this short drama. The leads had tremendous chemistry and looked good together. The casing was good for me, and the other actors played their parts well.

If you get sucked into vertical dramas on YouTube, then you will like this. Take it for what it is, and that is better than expected.

What u must know before starting this drama

My opening statement - I have mixed feelings. The actors did their best, there was a strong female lead and slowburn romance.

Positives:
1. Cast
2. Strong female lead
3. More focused on the plot, as in, cases instead of romance - something different

Negatives:
1. Boring - the plot just gets boring. As we live in the modern world and many of us aren't from china, it is as it is challenging to follow the mysterious cases and the methodology of solving such cases. So, when directing such detective thriller historical dramas, special attention has to be paid to details and it has to be made sure that the viewers can understand the story. Thus I believe the main reason I found it boring despite such strong leads was poor storytelling.
2. Some cases just don't make sense and the drama runs for so long. That's a bummer.

This drama would never be my first choice. I'm expecting much more from Bai Lu's and Cheng Lei's drama 'Mo Li'.

Very fun to binge

I enjoyed the show thoroughly the romcom was so well done and watching the show felt like a breeze and very entertaining. I absolutely adore the fire chemistry between FL and ML, they're perfect together literally a chemistry that will never leave my mind. I ended up having a crush on both of them by the end of the show LMAO. Kim Okvin is such a girl crush! The comedy part was so enjoyable too, i had so much fun. The reason for my 8.5 is because it got a bit slow near the end, because they gave the airtime to the 2nd couple which i was honestly not too interested in. Overall a recommended romcom for me
