Rainbow Team, assemble!

Kim Do Gi returns with the rainbow taxi crew to address the grievances of wronged individuals seeking vengeance. One case after another opens up more on the background of some of the crews.

The very first episode came out with an explosion (literally) of the rainbow team in action overseas. This show just moved up a few notches from my expectation. And mind you, my expectation is pretty high after the remarkable and successful Season 1 and 2. One of the things that i quit expecting from kdramas is actors being able to speak comprehensible English, even if their characters were supposed to be brought up or lived overseas for decades. Most kdramas have failed miserably at this so i quit putting my hopes up for it. Taxi Driver S3 managed to break this expectation by becoming the second show that managed to have actors speak not only comprehensible but also fluent english. It is understandable if only the main actor poured his heart and soul to learn speak english, but even the support roles played their cards well and managed to pull this off. I actually didnt need the subs to understand their english 🤯

Kim Do Gi not only displayed his good English, but also very dramatic Japanese, speaking like how i heard those anime characters speak when my son was on the tv. 😂 Reminds me of my favourite General Oki from the movie Kingdom a lot. I noticed they even hired a Malaysian extra and let him speak Malay in one of the episodes. There’s also a korean character who spoke Tagalog, although I can’t comment on how fluent he was, to an untrained ear i thought he spoke well (maybe with a little foreign accent) Kudos to the the team for making this multi-lingual feat work amazingly well. Your effort is extremely commendable.

As usual, i highly anticipate to see brilliant action choreograph and season 3 did not disappoint. Honestly I can’t get enough of Taxi Driver i hope they would franchise it like western shows, they can go over season 10 and people will still want to watch.

In every season, Kim Do Gi’s undercover personalities always cracks me up, this time the crew also went along rather than them doing behind the scene works. Love Go Eun’s style at going after the online scammers. Oh man 16 episodes are too short. Please don’t take up too long to do season 4 😓🥺 we want more!

ML was fantastic. FL was not good at all.

This show has so much potential. FL was just a fluffy, immature annoying character. Not her fault but it’s a lot to do with her voice. Can’t take her seriously at all because of it. It ruined any serious or emotional scenes that she was in.
ML was mature and played his part well. if he had been paired up with someone else this could have been a much better show.
The story was good. But was best suited for a younger audience. Mature adults will find this a tad fluffy. And this show wasn’t meant to be fluffy, so it left me feeling confused on how to feel for this.
Perhaps 20-somethings will like this better than adults in my age bracket (40-somethings)

I didn't like this jiejie romance drama

Thanks to Raiana's review that appears on my feed, I got to know that the MDL page for this drama is up. I had completed watching Zhong Xi's drama woth Liu Qing on iQIYI then this drama was automatically played. Hhhhmm I didn't like this drama.

What I liked:
1. Styling - I really liked ML's outfits. Great to see Ma Shuo Qi in hip, youtful outfits because I always watched him in CEO suits well except that one time he wore apron. FL also wore cool outfits.
2. Supporting characters - I liked Grandma Lin and ML's assistant.
3. Plot - It was something new but I didn't like the execution. I applaud writer for bringing a different story to family dispute arc.

What I disliked:
1. FL characterisation - She was a cold person and I didn't like how she treated ML.
2. Romance - I didn't sense emotional connection between FL and ML. I also didn't like that ML betrayed FL with his deception. This is one of the few jiejie romance drama I didn't enjoy.
3. Acting - I didn't sense any chemistry between Zhong Xi and Ma Shuo Qi.
4. Antagonist - A different level of scheming by the two baddies. FL's father was atrocious too.

Favourite scene
The funeral

SECRETS BEHIND A SMILE

Undercover Ms. Hong plays with duality: light on the surface, but layered with quiet tension underneath.

At first, it feels easy to watch. There’s a certain charm in how the story unfolds, mixing light humor with subtle mystery. But as the episodes progress, the tone gradually shifts, revealing a more restrained and introspective narrative.

At the center of it all is Ms. Hong herself. She isn’t the kind of character who demands attention loudly.. instead, she pulls you in through quiet control. Her strength lies in what she doesn’t say. Every glance, every pause feels intentional, reminding you that she’s constantly balancing who she is and who she pretends to be.

The supporting characters add texture to the story. Some bring warmth and lightness, helping balance the heavier undertones, while others introduce tension that slowly builds throughout the drama. Their interactions with Ms. Hong give more depth to her character, even if not all of them are fully explored. A few side arcs feel underdeveloped, leaving you wanting more from certain relationships and backstories.

The chemistry between the leads is subtle rather than overwhelming. It’s not the kind that explodes with intensity, but one that grows quietly over time, fitting the overall tone of the drama.

That said, the narrative does play it safe. There are moments where the story feels predictable, and certain plot points could have been pushed further. The pacing, while steady, may feel slow for those expecting something more dynamic.

Still, it works in its own way. It doesn’t try too hard to impress.. instead, it settles into its rhythm and lets the characters carry the story.

STILL PUNCHING, STILL HURTING.

Bloodhounds 2 came back louder, darker, and bloodier.. but somehow, it also felt heavier in a way that not everyone will love.

The action? Still insane. Every fight hits hard, raw, and personal. You can feel every punch, every drop of blood, every moment they’re pushed to their limits.

But what really carries this season is still the bond between Gun Woo and Woo Jin. Their loyalty, their brotherhood.., it’s the emotional anchor of the entire story. No matter how brutal things get, that connection stays solid.

The tone shifts a lot. It’s less fun, more serious, and at times, it feels like it loses the balance that made Season 1 so addictive. The story goes bigger, but not necessarily deeper.

Still, if you came here for action, loyalty, and pain---you’re getting exactly that.

intriguing

i'm always looking forward to fridays just for this series!!! i really appreciate the production and cinematography. it was a long wait, but it was worth it. they've given us such beautiful shots. 🫶🙂‍↕️i think this could be a breakthrough for netjj and lattekim, and i'm happy to support them. i always look forward to seeing my bias kim, because have you seen that face card??? 10/10 cast, all of them are so fineee. i also like the side characters and i look forward to seeing more of them!!

i think the plot itself is interesting. ik reincarnation and transmigration are pretty common, but nakhun's personality and realistic reaction are keeping this story unique.

one more thing i'm intrigued by is jomkaew/theepun's storyline. i like complicated characters like jom, and for this case it's something that hits a little too close to home. (homosexuality and social norms)

i'm so ready for the angst !! ฉันพร้อมใจสลายแล้ว

The Drama Overall

Boyfriend on Demand is the story of how a soft beta guy with zero game fell in love with a low-self-esteem alpha girl and managed to win her over because she created an alpha version of him in a dating simulator — and that version ended up giving her advice until she fell for the actual soft, whiny protagonist.Dude, if I found out the person I fell for had created her ideal man in a dating sim and that man turned out to be literally me, I'd drop to my knees and thank God. The guy is such a pushover that he was out here pouting the whole time. That said: I loved the drama. Solid 10/10. Seo In-guk's acting is always incredible — the man is unmatched in versatility. He's played a con artist profiler, a rich guy with amnesia, even Death itself, and now this. Absolute legend.

Boring and waste of time

This drama turned out to be quite disappointing. The pacing is very slow, to the point where it feels draggy, and I ended up skipping a lot of scenes just to get through it. Unfortunately, the overall storyline didn’t do much to keep things engaging either.

One of the biggest drawbacks is the acting of the main couple. Their performances feel dull and lack emotional depth, and more importantly, there’s almost no chemistry between them. Because they are the central focus of the drama, this really affects the overall viewing experience.

On the other hand, the second couple is okay. Their acting is not particularly strong either, but it feels more natural and expressive. They manage to bring some genuine emotion to their scenes, and their chemistry is noticeably better, making their moments more enjoyable and believable compared to the main leads.

Overall, the drama fails to deliver due to weak performances from the leads and an unengaging plot. I wouldn’t really recommend it, especially for teens looking for something exciting or engaging.

Sweet like sugar!

I absolutely loved this mini drama despite low expectations. I really enjoyed watching this drama, and it gives a beautiful nostalgic feeling. It has that surreal vibe that one can never really escape from. Watching this makes you feel like you are looking back at memories that fade away . Their acting was top-notch: At the very end, the story gets quite emotional, especially if you are an empath, but the way they subtly portray emotions, while still being able to stir them up inside the viewer, is truly exceptional. Many people don't like this subtlety, but I very much enjoyed this. Although it did not gain the recognition it deserved, it is truly one of Zhang Miao Yi's most notable works, and I particularly enjoyed this because I favour subtle and nostalgic themes over huge drama. I will love and support the actors and actresses in this drama in future works.

I recommend it only to people who like subtlety

From what I've seen so far I give this show a 10 out of 10 even though only 2 eps are out you can really get an idea of the plot and everything. We all watch it because of the eye candies/ favorite actor/actress

I'm 100% sure we watched it because these actors/actresses that were in this drama: Seo In Guk , Gong Min Jung , Jo Han Chul , Ko Kyu Pil , Yoo Hyun Woo, Lee Soo Hyuk , Yoo In Na , Lee Jae Wook , Kim Young Dae , and Yang Hong Seok. I did not like any of the AI short mini-stories. It was very cringy. I skipped the majority of the show just to see the actor/actress I mentioned before. I swear I didn't think I would hit a new low just to see these actors and actresses. I guess this is like saying to embrace AI but keep in touch with your humanity. look idk i'm not a philosopher. If there is anything to say is that AI boyfriend and girlfriend is a thing now. I don't care if you date AI, it's your thing, and it's none of my business if people have a preference to date AI, it's their choice. I honestly don't know if this drama had a plot because I didn't feel it, but i did see the message btw this is just my assumption i can be wrong, but I'm just telling you my opinion. This drama felt like a support on using AI, because of the character who did AI plagiarism just had a slap on the arm.

Had potential in the beginning. Also rewatch is 0 but had to mark 1

I'll start with the good. I enjoyed the investigations. I was in the mood for detective series and saw that it was like a Chinese version of Sherlock Holmes. Except this Sherlock is very money motivated versus BBC version he was driven by unique cases that peeked his interest. Though he still can draw a moral line and not do somethings just to gain money. The interactions between him and the investigator cop were good.
My biggest frustration is the supposed comedy of the sexually harassing land lady and the female reporter. Though calling her reporter is stretching it quite a bit because she's more tabloid writer then reporter. I was putting up with the behavior of the land lady at first because she was keeping it semi contained. However ep 11 the whole FL tricking her into thinking our Sherlock was interested in her and she should still know enough even in 1925 that no means no, doesn't matter what someone else says. Then FL locking him into the apartment and him being dragged away and cut to black. I pause shortly after cause this dumb b just thinks it's hilarious what she did. I don't find it comedic in shows to joke about sexual harassment and or sexual assault. Doesn't matter if the victim is male or female neither one deserve it and it's not something funny to joke about. The fact the writers do is disgusting.

Where Love Meets Crime

Clairebell breaks new ground as one of the first crime-focused GL series adapted from a novel, and it absolutely delivers on that promise. Instead of following the usual romance-driven formula, it weaves love into a gripping narrative filled with mystery, tension, and high-stakes moments—making it feel fresh and unpredictable.

What truly elevates the series is the cast. Their performances are nothing short of exceptional—raw, intense, and at times jaw-dropping. The emotional weight they bring to each scene makes the story hit harder, especially as the lines between love, trust, and danger begin to blur.

Overall, Clairebell is a standout in the GL genre. It’s bold, unique, and proves that GL storytelling can go far beyond romance—into something darker, deeper, and unforgettable.

Grounded Story with Shocking Twist

4 Elements: The Earth delivers a grounded and emotionally engaging story that slowly builds into something far more intense than expected. What truly stands out is its plot twist—well-executed, impactful, and enough to leave a lasting impression. It adds a layer of depth that elevates the series beyond a typical GL narrative.

The production quality is also commendable across the board. The cast brings strong chemistry and believable performances, the script flows naturally, and the cinematography beautifully complements the “Earth” theme with its warm, grounded visuals. The music ties everything together, enhancing both the quiet and emotional moments.

That said, one notable criticism lies in the adaptation choice involving Rose’s kidnapping by Wasu. While it adds tension and shock value, this deviation from the original novel feels unnecessary and somewhat disrupts the story’s core emotional trajectory. For viewers familiar with the source material, it may come across as forced rather than meaningful.

Overall, despite this change, 4 Elements: The Earth remains highly recommended—especially for its storytelling, performances, and that unforgettable twist.

A series that quietly stands out!

Heart Code is one of those GL series that quietly stand out. It doesn’t rely on overly dramatic plot twists, but instead, it focuses on emotional depth, character growth, and the kind of slow-burning connection that feels real.

What makes it especially compelling is the chemistry between the leads. Their dynamic feels natural, making every moment, whether light or heavy, hit a little deeper. The storytelling is simple but intentional, allowing you to really sit with the characters and their journey.

I would definitely include this series in my top recommended GL's to watch, together with Petrichor and Clairebell.

It's definitely worth watching, especially if you appreciate GL series that prioritize authenticity and emotional connection.
