Nana 2 is the sequel to the Japanese movie Nana, an adaptation of the manga by Ai Yazawa, directed by Kentarô Ôtani. Production for the movie began in mid-September and only one and a half month shootings finished the movie in time for the December 9, 2006 release.

Taking place shortly after the end of the first film, Nana 2 focuses more on Komatsu Nana
(Hachi/Hachiko) and her love life. Romance develops between Hachi and TRAPNEST's bassist Takumi as well as with the Black Stones' guitarist Nobu. Meanwhile, Nana works hard for her band while trying to find happiness. Both girls struggle through life, and try to keep their friendship from falling apart.

I think the sequel is as good as the first movie with some ups and downs .

The Story goes even sadder and ends up making me cry in the end. Put the characters continue bonding through out the movie. You can see developing too.

As of acting I have to agree with many Hachis actress was better in the first movie. But luckily it dint ruin the movie.

Music was great listening to as always.

I myself wouldnt rewatch it but I think for a person who can take sad movies defenetly should.

Overall a great movie. Funny thing about it is that I would watch more of it if new movies came. Which is not gonna happen I know.

Being a lover of Nana and of Nakashima Mika I figured I owed it to myself to watch the sequal to Nana. I can't say I disliked it or liked it. Although it followed the manga enough that I understood what was going on. I felt a little disappointed by how rushed everything was. However since it's a movie I can understand how the writers couldn't fit everything in. Another thing I didn't really like how they changed the actress for Nana Komatsu, it's not that Ichikawa Yui did a bad job it's just I personally didn't enjoy her playing Nana as much as I did with Miyazaki Aoi.
If you liked the manga NANA then you owe it to yourself to atleast give this movie a shot.
I recommend it.

Happy Watching
