Story of a girl (Zanilia Zhao) who has no family love. Her father blame her for her mom death and does not love her as he thought that his beloved wife pass away after giving birth. Her step mom is very evil and always make used of the girl and make her suffer. She does not believe love and only obey his father. She finally met a guy ( William Chan) who care and love her but because of many rivals in between they finally broke off. She finally understand love and show her love but because of her father background, they cannot be together. The actor and actress chemistry in this drama is extremely good. Should have a better ending.

This is my first review on mydramalist, it may be bad as English is not my native language. First of all, I decided to watch it because Zanilia Zhao was casted as one of the main actress in this drama. The beginning was interesting and full of mystery but as the story continues Zanilia didn't really appear in some of the episodes which is disappointing to me, and the drama started to get boring ...maybe I have high hopes for this as I watch it after I watched The Journey Of Flower....Overall, this drama was disappointing to me as it's not as good as other wuxia dramas/films, there was a few times that I almost decided to drop it. The only reason that I continue watching it was their opening songs and music. The casting of characters are okay but it could improve.

This drama isn't for everyone as it has too many plot twits and may confuse many viewers. The start of this drama was very interesting as there were so many different stories to tell. The chemistry in this drama was spot on. The leads have done 3-4 dramas together and I hope they will do more in the future because they work so well together and their on screen chemistry is amazing. There are these other 'power couples ' in this drama which have their own story to tell. The romance and friendship in this drama was really well executed and I loved how they all had their own side story which connected well with other characters. The animation, CGI and stunts worked really well together. When the the characters were in thing air during the fighting scenes it seemed so real. The tigers also didn't look fake and looked realistic. This drama was such as intense roller coaster. There were so many mysteries and surprises that I wouldn't even think of. This drama was very interesting to watch but I think they put too many ideas into one drama which complicated things and after episode 48-49 I think a lot of people would start to lose interest in watching this drama.


I think this drama was going to have a season 2 or a spin off if not then why would it end the way it did it would give viewers even more un-answered questions. OMG hahahahaaha sorry I wrote this about a year ago on my blog and I'm posting a less detailed version on this site. There is a season 2 that came out this year. I haven't watched it though but apparently its completely different compared to season 1.

This is one drama you won't want to miss considering that the leading actress Zhao by nature a kind young lady who is force to revenge just to follow his father for the sake of her mother's death. She endured her physical and emotional abuse just to be recognize and be love by his father. The father potray by Nicky Wu became completely selfish and extremely violent because of his lost love.
The Legend of Zu has been a fan favorite since its first airing last december, creative and delightfull twisted, the deep characterization, the captivating performance of the main character, the storyline and the love story never fail me to keep me wildly anticipating the next episode. I like the music , the cast specially William and Zhao they look good together, however some scene need to be realistic. I've never been bored with it. Legend of Zu will always be the drama to watch.

I am not a 100% where to stand on this drama. The storylines are very convoluted. There seems to be TOO much at times, now that I’m thinking about it. I liked some parts, but other parts seemed unnecessary. I wanted to fast forward and get all the scenes of Zanilia and William Chan together, but then I would have missed a lot. A lot of the scenes of them together were heart breaking, there wasn’t ever a part where they BOTH accepted each other’s love, it was either, one was wanting more and the other one was hesitant. BOO. I thought the other love lines (or arcs) were so sad too, almost no one ends up together.


Cast is really good though, probably because Cecilia and Nicky Wu had hook ups as they were producing this drama? We got Nicky on the cast, Zanilia Zhao, William Chan, Gao Vengo is in here for a quite a bit. I’m not really familiar with the other female actors, but they were cute.


This drama was so lengthy, I most likely would not watch it again. I would recommend watching this if you like Zanilia which is what I’ve been doing lol.

honestly, I only started this drama because I realized this was the only drama I didn't watch yet with zhao li ying and william chan. After watching them collab in so many different dramas it kind of makes me sad that theyre not together in real life. :( but at least theyre both happy. Anyways now back to the actual drama- their chemistry in this drama will definetly touch your heart. the plot is pretty good, definitely better than the sequel. all the actors and actresses performed well, the songs in this drama are insanely amazing. I honestly just wrote this review to tell you guys about william chan and zhao li ying because their love story was absolutely heart touching. Ending may not be AMAZING but it was definitely predictable and understandable. Sorry if this wasnt a great review.. LOL

Kurang Bagus

Saya rasa , versi film yang diperanin oleh Ekin Cheng dan Cecilia Cheung pada tahun 2005 lebih bagus dari segi cerita dan terutama actionnya serta efek pertarungannya.
Nampaknya serial tv ini hanya mengandalkan aktor dan aktris terkenal
musiknya pun saya tidak terlalu suka, kurang punya rasa spirit atau ksatria.
mungkin serial tv ini lebih diperuntukkan untuk kaum hawa (wanita), kalo pria yang nonton mungkin agak membosankan.
ceritanya terkesan membingungkan dari awal sampai akhir, dan juga tidak ada hal yang mencegangkan.
Tapi tentu saja jika untuk penggemar berat Zhao Yiling, mungkin tetap saya rekomendasikan untuk nonton,
tapi jika tidak, maka harus berpikir dua kali dulu sebelum menontonnya, karena masih banyak serial lain yang diperanin oleh ZHao Liying yang lebih pantas atau lebih bagus dari ini, seperti princess agent, noble aspiration 1,2, dll
