Gives similar feelings. Friendship, love, gay, tragedy, dinamic, chemistry, unique plot. And just wow. Also there are Eita and Ueno Juri too.

Both of these dramas have characters that deal with gender identity disorder, domestic violence, suicide, bullying, rape, and incest. Last friends story centers around five main adult characters while Gloomy Salad Days consist of mini stories from high school students.

it's the same kind of story, about a group of friends trying to overcome hardships together ; and Eita is in both dramas ;)

Both are dramas about REAL life issues. And in IS Haru is very similar character to Last Friend's Ruka.

Both of these have a very similar feel and style, more than a little dark and serious at times, while delving into issues of friendship, love, relationships. If you liked the Nana anime or manga but didn't really like the movie adaptation, give Last Friends a try.

Both share the theme of domestic abuse and are quite graphic in their depiction of it.

If you liked Close-Knit for it's LGBTQ+ focus, you might also like Last Friends. Both deal with more serious issues like harrasment, suicide, and domestic abuse, and they both have a theme of not-so-conventional families that are formed by choice rather than relation.

ML holds FL captive, abuses her and is totally obsessed over her. He also threatens to kill himself and does illegal stuff to stop her from leaving. She tries to escape as well.

Friends living together, supporting each other, developing romance. Strong friendship bonds. The friendship you want for yourself.

Has a similar feel as it is written by Taeko Asano who wrote the screenplay for Last Friends. Deals with darker aspects of love. Opening is also sung by Utada Hikaru. If you liked one you'll probably enjoy the other.

One of the main characters in Last Friends is in love with her best friend from school, who is also a girl.

These two dramas are seemingly quite different, but I think they have some themes in common, such as people working through various life issues and the characters trying to help each other through it. There's a theme of family here, in Kahogo no Kahako they are related by blood, but in Last Friends, the friends are like family. Last Friends is quite a bit darker in terms of the issues the characters deal with, but if you liked Kahogo no Kahoko, give Last Friends a try!
