My Best Ex-Boyfriend (2015)

Both dramas are about reconnecting with the ex years after they break up and solving the problem that caused them to break up in the first place. My Sunshine is more sombre whilst My Best Ex-Boyfriend is more comedy.

Sumire is a woman that's too kind and keeps falling for bad men. In the midst of heartbreak, she discovers a lingerie brand and makes up her mind to become a lingerie designer. She is determined to pursue her new dream. One rainy day, she meets Soichi and is attracted to him but he holds a secret...

Miki Ogawa yearned to live the life of a lovely girl and moved to the city from the countryside because of this. She holds a job at a fashion mail order company. Miki Ogawa also has a secret. She is transgender. Although she has a pretty woman's appearance, her sex is male. One day, Tadaomi Goto appears in front of Miki Ogawa. They graduated from the same high school. Tadaomi Goto is flustered by Miki's different appearance, but they happen to become roommates.

Xie Fei Fan is a handsome rich boy who wants to become a non-profit lawyer, but stepped into the fashion world instead because of his father. There, he meets Xia Hong Guo, a strange country girl who wants to become a top fashion designer. The two are joined by Ling Jie, a suave player who flirts to hide his true feelings.

I'll start by saying that Tokyo Juliet isn't even half as good as My best ex-boyfriend, not like the last is any good..but they're both about fashion and arrogant childish guys who won't let go.

In both dramas we have large corporations. Love between boss and employee. A dispute between competing companies. We also have jealous women and many lovers of men in the main heroine.
