This type of story-line requires a completely divergence fro reality, the entire premise is ridiculous in reality.
Two "tops" working in the same company but have never met, meet. Ozaki; handsome and cool, Tsuburaya; beautiful and smart. During their first meeting the boss of the company refers to them as the, "two tops of the company," this is the strangest use of the word top in either meaning, because there is always one top, which they both then argue.
(I do not believe they meant top as in Seme in this situation, because Tsuburaya stated that he has, "... no interest in men". In what context does he mean he is a "top" then?)
I was unsure what to put for the acting rating, because the acting is good considering what the original inspiration was. They are doing exactly as was done in the manga. The issue is, what is done in manga is considered overacting. Throughout the entire movie they are playing for the background and do things that do not make sense.
Ex. In many situation Ozaki does ??? to Tsuburaya (Kabe ? meaning Wall, Don ?? is the SFX used in manga when something hits something else) Kabedon is essentially the trope in anime/manga where the male protagonist hits the wall behind the girl he is trying to be romantic with. It would be fine if they did it, but only if it made sense. Ozaki does Kabedon to Tsuburaya even when Tsuburaya is not against a wall, on multiple occasions Ozaki just hits a random wall and Tsuburaya just decides to move to lay against that wall.
Again, acting for the back row 100%. But they are using inspiration from a manga...
I would not re-watch this, the cringe is really strong. This is something you watch for the meme of it all.

The actors were cute and finally at least good to look at, BUT the acting was so stiff. I don't like the exaggerated behavior in the film. In the manga, it makes sense since you can do whatever in the manga, and it would still look cool. Again real life is different so some behavior shouldn't be excessively shown.
I'm sure the story was probably good in manga.

In my opinion, I really want a bit more love between the characters. I just feel that third character was a bit sudden towards the end of the movie. Woah....and also I didn't understand why there is an unexpected bath scene (not with the duo). Relationship did not resolve early enough. The guy in the black suit was dumb. (sorry -- fans??--, but lol)
As for music, I didn't hear very much about the music so meh for that.
For the whole movie, it was rushed and not well played. It was disappointing. Hope they can try again.

Okay, to put it simply, this has more of a 2013 Youtube comedy sketch than an actual drama. Corny dialogue, anime-like hyperbolic acting, typical story-line that is weirdly put together. But in defence of this little piece of work here, it's a trash movie to laugh at. If you know Japanese dramas and anime/ manga, you know what the humour is like. This is basically manga pages come to life with wig-like hair and amateur acting. I was in a slump, I got this movie recommended and I was happy again. As simple as that. If you want a fun hour on a Tuesday night after your whole day sucked, just watch this and you might be happier again. I don't know about you but I laughed every 5 seconds at the ridiculousness of this one. It's not meant to be a good movie and that's fine.Was this review helpful to you?
My rating is slightly above average. I tried to look at the picture through Japanese eyes, to perceive what can make the inhabitants of this country, where they live to the highest average age in the world, laugh. In this context, the film is really funny, cutely naive, with a manga-like character, and I would never have thought that this piece, which I would have "punished" five years ago, like the users here, could entertain and warm me like this. With Tsuburaya, I was totally freaked out by the resemblance to Takumi-kun from the fine 5 part Japanese series (we have it here), but they are only so similar. But Tsuburaya's rival - Ozaki (Tomita Sho) got me as an actor, who in my opinion was really worth eating. I will not look for negatives, because I think that I would harm the film with a one-sided view of the viewer from Europe, and in fact they did not want to film it otherwise, the Japanese, after all, there are as many of them as a hundred capital cities of the Czech Republic ....
Tento film není určen pro ... většinu středoevropských diváků. Byl vyroben pro Japonce (spíše pro Japonky), a to dost přesně podle yaoi mangy stejného názvu, a proto ti, kteří nepoberou japonský styl humoru z mangy, by měli jít hledat jinam, jinak chytnou mnozí záchvat, proto film zdejším uživatelům spíše nedoporučuji.
Mé hodnocení je mírně nadprůměrné. Snažil jsem se dívat na snímek japonskýma očima, vnímat to, co obyvatele této země, kde se dožívají nejvyššího průměrného věku na světě, dokáže rozesmát. V tomto kontextu je film skutečně zábavný, roztomile naivní, mangovsky postavičkový a nikdy by mě nenapadlo, že toto dílko, které bych ještě před pěti lety "trestal" podobně jako uživatelé zde, mě dokáže takto pobavit, rozehřát. U Tsuburaya jsem se úplně lekl podobou s Takumi-kunem z jemné pětidílné japonské série (máme ji zde), ale jsou si jen tak podobní. Herecky mě dostal ale Tsuburayův rival - Ozaki (Tomita Sho), který byl dle mě opravdu k sežrání. Zápory hledat nebudu, protože si myslím, že bych filmu ublížil jednostranným pohledem diváka z Evropy a vlastně oni to ani jinak Japonci natočit nechtěli, vždyť je jich tolik, jako sto hlavních měst Česka ....

This movie is SO crappy, SO bad, and SO ridiculous that it is actually hella good. This is not a seriously done movie, and you should avoid expectations for a good story. It is just a random compilation of stupid things, filled with casual fuckery of real life, overall overacting taken to next level. The movie-makers knew the shit they made and oh god, I loved it. If you have an extra 1 hour to waste, go for this movie. It is a stress reliever if you enjoy this type of humor. The violin playing was so bad, and the only negative thing lol. (tmi, this was the only positive thing during my exams, so this movie means a lot to me.)Was this review helpful to you?

this was so bad, it was good!!!
it was ridiculous - over the top crazy and yet so much fun!!! i enjoyed every minute of this crazy ride - and there a ton of character's to love, like Ozaki's subordinate's, the President who it totally extra and Tsuburaya's fan-boy. the friend and the crazy stalker, ironically weren't that funny just crazy.but i have to say for me the dude that kept stealing the spot-light was Ozaki - he was hilarious - donno him (the actor playing him) from Adam but he really took this character/plot and ran with it... he was everything fun and good - animated and wild - from one scene to the next, he dominated - even though donno if he will "land" the Seme position, given how hell bent Tsuburaya is to dominate his ass - literally lol - but this is hilarious and for sure a multiple rewtach...
btw i get this a whacky comedy, but Ozaki gets freakin stabbed by Tsuburaya's fan/stalker - Tsuburaya get's choked out by Ozaki infatuated friend and everything is just brushed off like meeh no big deal... get this is "out there" but still those were WTF moment's - that weren't as fun.
but other then that, this was really good - highly recommend for anyone looking for something light and fun that will keep a smile on ur face, cause of the absurdity u see - a while after the viewing.

weird.. but wholesome <3
One of the weirder bl's I've watched, but it still managed to be really cute in some ways.Story: It seemed to be going in one path at first, then boom, so many elements just continued to be added to the story that made it more chaotic but enjoyable.
Acting/Cast: I wonder how they felt during the filming process, because it translated into the scenes most definitely.
Music: I don't remember the music that well, it was probably okay.
Rewatch Value: I've already rewatched so many times, it's good background noise too if you're cleaning or something.
Overall: Watch it if you're bored.

The story/plot was good. All though it was somewhat hard to keep up with. I could never fully understand what was actually happening throughout the movie. If it had been a but more clear as to what was going on then it would have been amazing.
Acting/Cast
The cast was amazing and totally nailed the comedy aspect. The acting on the other hand was rough. During some parts of the movie it was awkward and over the top.
Music
I didn't really notice any music that truly stood out to me.
Rewatch Value
I think it would be something to watch on a lazy day when you're bored. It was funny and it did provide a good laugh so I would recommend it if you're looking for something like that.
