The teacher was so creepy but charming! I loved his character, even though I also wanted to stay very far away from him and protect the students from him. I really enjoyed this drama and even though the ending was a TINY bit predictable, I would still rewatch this one if I wanted a bit of creepy to liven up my night :D

I liked the acting, and they behaved pretty much appropriately for high school kids. Making mistakes, dealing with insecurity, putting up a front to cover up insecurity, all things I did in school and can relate to.

I don't know if this counts as spoilers but if it does I'm very sorry! This next part I really, really liked and wanted to talk about so I tried to keep it vague.

The third girl was my favorite, the writer. She wrote her fantasy, something I think all of us has done before and then realized how horrible it is in real life to have that kind of person with you. It says a lot about YA romance and how the perfect guy is sold to us in those types of books and tv shows. It also shows how much she doesn't know about writing characters that have more depth than the shallow, shiny parts. I feel like if I had seen something like this when I was 14, I wouldn't have had such crazy expectations in high school. I partially blame hormones and the fact guys at that age were annoying as heck, but I wasted too much time trying to be perfect so I could 'earn' my perfect guy and that just isn't reality. I know now how silly I was, but it was fun to see that in a character on the show.

nightmare teacher is a very mediocre drama which had great potential to be much better.

whole plot is good, interesting but felt little repetitive. pace of plot is not slow, but somehow i felt bored in midway and wanted to skip to end. teacher character totally reminds me of doraemon who gives gadgets which get misused by students because of their greed. there is no end for it. whole school is in chaos. Grrrr......he plays this game, untill kim so hyun takes a stand and helps others.

bad things i noticed here which disappiointed me
1. no proper closure for all characters - students , teacher, and who is that little girl in last episode.
2. very short screen space for kim so hyun. my sole reason to watch this drama. i wish they could skip a students character and put her in that place. there would have been enough time to find what is all this fuss about.

acting is good. i am really tired of praising kim so hyun. she brilliantly pulls this drama out of little time she got. her acting is very believable. i just wish i could see her with different hairstyle
i got serious trouble with uhm ki joon. he is just stuck with same face and same smile. i am so tired of watching him here and in Ghost.

i definetly wont rewatch this. and i am not really sure if i should recommend this one.but if you are kim so hyun fan, you should probably make time for this. also plot is not really bad. this drama could be your interesting watch

I usually watch very girly romantic dramas which are full of clichés. Nothing struck my interest at that moment so I started watching Nightmare Teacher to have a change of pace.

The concept sounded great. I loved the idea of a creepy high school horror/suspense drama. The idea of a somewhat demonic teacher had me excited to watch this show. The first two or three episodes got me started and I wasn't too enthralled but decided to continue watching nonetheless.

The disappointment ended up being as great as the idea of this drama. I thought it would build with every episode, but the suspense stagnates beyond the first few episodes and the plot becomes predictable. Thankfully, each episode is short. I continued watching after a while because I could do other things at the same time and not really miss anything of the plot. I also really wanted to know the ending, I thought it might pick up towards the finale. It didn't. Flat 'til the very end.

I liked the music the most in this series. While it lacked originality, it's well placed, eerie and helps build the tiny bit of tension I felt during the episodes

The actors are lacking the depth needed to have the viewer sit on the edge of their chair. It's lackluster and I think it doesn't help build up the intensity such a series would need to be great.

I think with a bit of work on the script and better actors this could definitely be a show worth watching.

After having to wait two weeks to watch the final four episodes of the drama, I can say that it wasn't worth it. I dove into Nightmare Teacher with not very high expectations since the description wasn't very interesting or original at all. I was only watching this because of Kim So Hyun and slightly Lee Minhyuk (I have a massive love for all BTOB members). But they only just managed to keep Nightmare Teacher at a watchable level. Small disclaimer before you read the rest, I will have a lot of criticism for this series, but this is all my own personal opinion and I apologize if I offend anyone who enjoyed Nightmare Teacher.

The story had a good concept to it, but all the themes and events were poorly executed. Each of the students problems were boring, extremely cliche and it was nothing original. I realize that, in total, the drama had 3 hours of content (12 episodes x 15 minutes) to get through 5 students and Ye Rim's difficulties. But the director should have noticed that more time was needed to be put into each character, so either there should have been more episodes or they could have cut down on the amount of students (e.g. 3 students including Ye Rim, each giving them an hour of character development). I hope that the director learns on this and improves for his next project.

The acting in Nightmare Teacher was more tolerable than anything else in the drama. Kim So Hyun was, again, really good like usual, but because of the story's execution, some of her acting choices weren't the best. But I still love her. Lee Minhyuk has the potential to go far in acting, but he still has a long way to go. I hope that as him and fellow BTOB member Yook Sungjae continue in more dramas, he will become a superb actor. Everyone else did decent jobs in acting. Uhm Ki Joon's acting was pretty boring in my opinion, but I guess his role was a teacher, so not disappointed by that. Some of the other students could do with a lot of work, but they definitely contributed to the drama.

Music was good, but not at the same time. When the scenes were really tense or filled with suspense, the soundtrack did a good job of creating a better atmosphere. But during any other scene, the soundtrack failed to deliver. But listening back, some of the tracks are noteworthy.

I probably wouldn't watch Nightmare Teacher again, it would depend on how bored I would get to want to rewatch this.

Overall, Nightmare Teacher has a lot of flaws, but could have done a worse job. The acting definitely saved this series, because if it was based on plot alone, it would fail miserably. But if you're a good fan of Kim So Hyun or Lee Minhyuk, you can give this drama a shot.

I think this had everything to be good, but the ending disappointed me.

I've seen many people saying that the drama was to repetitive , I don't disagree with that, but it my opinion it wasn't a bad thing, it doesn't make the drama tiring , instead I think it creates a whole scenario of loop that will create the creepy atmosphere to the story.

I was really enjoying the series, but the ending disappointed me a little bit, I thought the ending was too short for the whole scenario created, which lead to things being left unexplained, some of those things took me a while to understand by myself and others I haven't figured it out yet. Another thing that confused me was the cut-scene at the very end after the credits, I couldn't quite understand if it was after the end of the series or if it was during it. But I think that if the author had made the ending a little longer and explained things better the drama would have a lot more positive reviews.

Also they could have chosen better actors, I mean, they weren't bad, but sometimes I wasn't feeling the creepy vibe I was supposed to.

Aside from that, I think drama was good.
The atmosphere created was amazing, it was creepy and uncomfortable, the music the scenario and the effects, all contributed for that.

I also loved the idea of the story, a creepy school where unusual things are happening.

One thing that made me really feel like it was creepy and thrilling were the moments when the kids going to make a decision and I would start nagging at them saying it was the wrong decision.

I did liked the drama, except for the ending, but I would recommend people to watch it because it's interesting and since it's short, it doesn't take that much time to watch.

I'm thinking about rewatching the series when I have time so that maybe I'll be able to understand the ending a little better.

[Nightmare Teacher]
I could really say that this is a really weird but interesting drama. Like, i really hate the repeating sequence but I kept on watching it since I really know the truth behind the protagonist's inclusion to the happenings (well it's Kim So Hyun after all). Not your typical drama coz it will keep you seeking the whole plot yet will annoy you for having a few hints to really it freaking going on.
A 15 minute per episode drama from Naver with cameos of various young artist. Not that thrilling but will keep your curiosity up.
Highlights:
That freaking camera - it played a great part for everything, way to go Seo Sang Woo.
Peer pressure and other school related issues and concerns. - it really sends a strong message if you dug deeper to it's story board. And yes, it's for the youngsters out there being left out, hungry for power, thirsty for wisdom, story makers and self beautification experts. This drama had showcase what will happen if you go overboard of your self induced obsession.
15 minutes!!! - this 15 minute drama flick will keep you amazed and annoy. Like why does it need to be just 15 minutes and freak! How did they put it in just 15 minutes!
Teacher Bong Gu - oh man! You're a totally creep!
Counseling Room - this freaking room did all they shuffling, hustling and signing that gives an annoying feeling since this is all where every issue started.
What would you do now if you were to die tomorrow? - this is a freaking question, it made the whole plot make sense.
So Hyun ah danced, they made her dance and it's soooo cute - wait fot that part and tell me who the freak in the world wouldn't fall in love to her. So cute dance, specially with that come on and get me thingy.
Mirror - i really hate mirrors and this show used it as a portal and woaaah! It's a total creep!
Ye Rim ah - I wish her story was properly elaborated and cleared.
Seo Sang Woo - men! Be honest! What's your true participation in this whole nightmare thing! I'm sooo freaked out and confused!
----------
Overall, you'll ask for more :)

This was a fantastic short drama that I think every Korean drama lover should watch! I loved everything about this drama. I didn't see any flaws. It's definitely underrated.

Lesson of the drama: USE A PEN WHEN SIGNING A CONTRACT. IF YOUR FINGER IS CUT, THEN SUDDENLY YOUR NAME APPEAR IN THE PAPER, RUN AND SAVE YOUR LIFE

This story, even though it is short, it is totally worth watching it.

The character build up was done very well, as in I didn't have any lasting questions toward the end. Their homeroom teacher, though gave off an eerie feeling in the beginning, wasn't so bad in the end. The plot was a twist, even though the first episode does giveaway the concept of what will come to pass.

I am a major fan of suspense and psychological shows and movies, so, I wasn't quite sure if I'd enjoy this one based on how it was described. I gave it a chance, and turns out I very much enjoyed each episode. I was worried that the characters wouldn't come to their full fruition, however. they exceeded my expectations along with the story telling.

I was greatly pleased with this, I even binged the entire season, because it's so short, it's doable. Mentioning before, I am satisfied with how it ended.

I strongly recommend this one.

The Most Atypical School Drama I've Seen and I Love That

This is the most unique school kdrama I've come across which makes it super likeable.

It's creepy but not scary and overall very interesting. It showcases the insecurities of high school students and how bad it things can get it you make a deal with the devil (if that made any sense lol)

I will admit the drama can get quite repetitive at times and the ending was very confusing but overall it was very very very good. Watched it in one sitting. Highly recommend

Also is it just me or was I scared asf of the teacher idk why so many people liked him he was so mysterious and idk if he even was human (i would like a season two haha I need to know more about that guy 🧐)/

Wanna find a mystery drama with good acting cast, here you are.
This drama really gives off a mystery and horror vibes, when I started it I was kinda of creeped out firstly because oo its plot but also maybe it's because I was watching it in the middle of the night (3am. ps better not watch it in the middle of the night).
The plot was good but the ending I really didn't liked that much.
The acting was really good especially the main character (that's the reason I came to watch this drama). Kim So-Hyun's (the main female character) acting was great and she looked so cute with Lee Min Hyuk (the guy who is always with her in the drama), they made an adorable couple, I really like when he calls her his wife and himself husband. I also love the fact that they the only ones who were aware that people were dissapearing from their class. But in the ending there's something weird concerning the guy but never mind.
The music was okay, well I didn't listen to it mostly and I didn't care, the songs were not so evident.
So at the end should you watch it? Well if you are trying to find a drama giving a mystery and horror vibes drama.
Hope I was helpful in some ways. : )

Short and creepy.

Started watching this one because of this length — it’s a short drama with 12 episodes ranging from 15-20 mins each. The plot is engaging, it starts off a little slow paced but as we progress through, it’s quite captivating. I was more involved in the arcs of the students midway. I personally felt that this drama was a clever way to deal with the insecurities and challenges that high school students face and while many of their experiences seem specific to Korea, the underline could be shared and felt by students throughout the world. It has a lot of Devil’s Advocate vibes as well.

If you’re in a mood for something eerie but not long enough for a 16-20 hour drama, definitely go for this.

Eeriely confusing but also intriguing

This mini-series is short yet impactful. The storyline is repetitive as if it's trying to emphasize a point. Although, I admit I've been lost after watching it as if I forget everything that I watched as well. (Same as how they forget their missing classmate at the end of every other episode)

Okay so the plot is like, a creepy substitute teacher came to the school and tries to tempt students with a power that will allow them to get away from what they fear the most. There's kind of a trial period but as they get greedy for more, they have to sign a contract not fully thinking about possible consequences. It only ends with them being trapped on a mirror full of darkness and being forgotten by everyone. This has been repeating 6x on the drama and the only differences are the students have different fears to get away from thus different solutions/scenarios as well with the same pattern.

The casts were really good and the creepy teacher gives off that vibe that you can trust him but his smile is also meaningful enough for you to see that behind those smile is a hidden motive. If there's something I didn't really grasp the character, it was Kim SoHyun. Well, she did great in terms of acting but I didn't get what the drama is trying to achieve using her character. It just confuses me (or maybe I'm just too slow, I'm not sure myself.)

I mainly watched this because of Kim SoHyun and if you really like her acting she's still superb in this mini-series although the plot can be a bit disappointing. This isn't a bad drama after all you can watch it in one sitting just like how you watch a movie. There's also a lot of good takeaways like how greed can end badly for you. And how nightmares are there not to harm you but to heal you.
