The Empress and Consort Hui have poisonous snakes dumped in Ru Yi’s dwelling, and though she is bitten, Ling Yun comes to her aid. Unbeknownst to Ru Yi, the cold palace guards have been ordered to keep her safe. The Empress sets another trap for Ru Yi, who mourns her father’s accidental death.
