The Disastrous Life of Saiki K (2017)

They both have an anime adaptation and not gonna lie i actually enjoyed both movie but they don't have nothing in common except the anime adaptation

This really reminds me of Gintama. They even have a crossover in the anime. The story is different but the silliness is very much the same. Hashimoto Kanna starring in both and she did great.

Hashimoto Kanna, mind reading, shounen love, comedy, sense of humor, live-action, adapted from manga.

I recommend this both drama because , Male lead and Female lead
try to solve problem
In one drama explosion and another student murder/suicide

- Both hilarious;
- Both are based on famous manga;
- Same Screenwriter & Director (Fukuda Yuichi);
- There is the same cast: Yamazaki Kento, Kaku Kento, Muro Tsuyoshi and Sato Jiro;
- The characters are very similar.

Both movies are comedy about a boy ESPer/psychic wearing glasses. Both are very similar. Both are based on famous manga................

First and foremost: IM NOT RECOMMENDING TO LIVE ACTION MOVIE... no. I'm actually recommending the 2016 anime, The Disastrous Life of Saiki K. (its obviously NOT on this database, so I've settled for this.)
- Both are Japanese pieces of media
- they are both adapted from a manga!
- Both MC's have similiar personalities and attitude...
- Very blunt and uninterested by drama (and people) but somehow manage to be in the center of it all and never be left alone
- both of them are generally uninterested in the concept of love/romance
- Kunou Totonou is really smart/perceptive, while Saiki is VERY powerful and even with such power getting thru day to day life is... HARD.
- Both MC's are students, Saiki is a high school student while Kunou Totonou is a college student
- Idk about most viewers but i really like the comedy in Mystery to Iunakare and lucky for us... Saiki K is a slice of life COMEDY anime!
- they both have a deep love for a certain food... for Saiki its coffee jelly while Kunou Totonou loves curry!
There are probably more similarities but I'll stop ... as for differences:
- Mystery to Iunakare is obviously not an anime, and actually Mystery and Psychological genre so of course the two shows will have different tones/feels (?)
- Mystery to Iunakare is more mature and deals with concepts like dying killing and hostage situations. Nothing too graphic or scary but i can understand why someone would be put off by it.

Aside from being both live action, they are similar in that both of the main characters do not talk. Oops Kento was speaking in that live action. Anyway, the character, Katai kinda reminds me of Hairo, their energy is endearing and the way they used this for cf is just comedy is just my type.
