I'm a big fan of Saiki Kusuo and man this movie was amazing. The actors portrayed the characters perfectly and the storyline was hilarious! If you know anything about Saiki, you'll love this movie. If you're unfamiliar with Saiki Kusuo, you're going to be amazed by how crazy this film is. The plot is so simple yet the comedy makes it very intriguing. The anime and manga are 10x funnier but the movie manages to create such a funny portrayal to the point where you'll want to rewatch it again. I'm already planning to. I didn't know what to expect when entering such a film. I already knew how crazy it was going to be but the film broke my expectations. I even had to pause at times because I was laughing so hard. When a film can make you laugh so hard you know its worth the rewatch.

Kento Yamazaki's acting was phenomenal. I couldn't ask any other actor to play Saiki. I felt like I was looking at the exact Saiki from the anime. His blank expressions and random commentary were perfect. It was hard to believe I was watching Kento act such a bizarre character. Especially since he's been in a lot of romcoms. He played the part very well and I applaud him. For the other cast, they all portrayed the goofy characters soo well, especially Arai Hirofumi. Arai portrayed Nendo's stupidity perfectly. Once again I felt like I was watching the anime. All the cast members did a splendid job of truly becoming their character. I'm so proud of them and excited to watch again.

Overall, The Disastrous Life of Saiki K was amazing. I wish they can make another movie(or a drama, that would be amazing). If you just watched the movie only, I suggest you find the anime or the manga (they're both amazing). You'll fall in love and laugh till your heart's content. This is one movie you have to see if you want to laugh a lot.

This movie is the one you're either gonna love it or hate it. There's no in between. If you're not used to Japanese Manga-like-non-realistic actings and jokes, you'll hate it. But if you're a fan of Manga and Anime, I think you'll love it. I did. I was expecting another live-action disaster like AOT because of the CGs but it was really good. It was so hilarious and the story is pretty interesting too. I also loved the actors especially Hashimoto Kanna and the movie is overall really enjoyable for me. I hope they'll make a sequel.

The movie is okay. As you may be already expecting, it's sense of humor is based exactly on the same aspects that makes the anime very funny. And by that, I mostly mean it's fast pace. But here, it generally just ends up making the acting kinda cringe and overexagerated. Well, when you think about it, it's just hard to adapt a story like Saiki Kusuo no Psi nan to live action. What I mean is that don't expect too much from this movie. Besides that, I liked how they used some parts of the main story to narrate an event that didn't actually happen the way is was portrayed in the movie. That is the most positive and innovative part about the movie, for me.

super fun!

I love Saiki k and having read the manga and watched the anime this was a surprisingly good live action. I really enjoyed watching and it got the whole Saiki k vibes spot on. Kento Yamazaki was such a good actor!! He got saikis expressions and mannerisms spot on and I loved the story line too. Of course it wasn't the exact same as the anime it still was enjoyable.
It has the same levels of crazy from the anime and its so over the top and unrealistic so if you are not used to that you might not like it. Its super lighthearted and a great laugh. Would 100% watch again.

Cast: The cast is great -- biased fan here.

Story: I watched because I'm attached to the anime and the characters. Oryo being in it is just a bonus (and somehow I see myself watching more Yamazaki Kento movies). But since it's a gag LA adaptation of a gag anime, we shouldn't expect much and things aren't supposed to make sense. Also apparently it's the same director as the Gintama movies, and somehow you can notice the likeness in scenes and pacing. For me though it would be better if there were less moments about Hairo--just my biasedness talking here--and the pacing were kind of dull at times. I did find Oryo moments funny though.

Overall: It's OK, I don't find myself re-watching it at all. Once you've seen the joke one time, that's it. Though I don't think I've wasted my time watching it, it's a great eye-candy movie, so thank you for the great casting.

I have not watched the anime yet, nor had any other background information on the story. Therefore, I can't say if this movie follows the anime perfectly or it was a disastrous live action. For what is worth, it was kind of enjoyable, though it was so fast paced and idiotic at some points that lost the good qualities that this movie actually had. Yamazaki is back again with another student character, this time though, with super powers and bright pink hair. I do like him as an actor, to be honest, and it was the only reason why I picked up this movie. But, in here, he's just okay. Not bad, but not outstandingly good. Maybe the script didn't help him, however. The other actors were okay as well, even though that girl did overreact at some points. The plot, on the other hand, tried too hard to make the movie anime like and some of the jokes ended up to be just silly comical scenes. Unfortunately, I doupt that I'll remember even watching this movie.
