In June 2015, Kyogoku suddenly woke up after being in a coma for 30 years due to an accident during an investigation. It has been a year since he and the young detective, Mochizuki Ryota of Yokohama Chuo Police Precinct, drove the violent criminal called Kagura as well as the organisation Kyogoku was pursuing 30 years ago to destruction and closed this chapter from the past. Kyogoku and Ryota are still living together in the same place. Although Ryota and Yui have been dating for close to a year, Kyogoku stubbornly refuses to approve their relationship. In this one year, Kyogoku and Ryota have led the police in solving numerous heinous crimes. Ryota has also undergone an unbelievable transformation from a year ago. The investigation methods of the two of them occasionally create trouble. But because their arrest rate and contributions are the highest in the Kanagawa area right now, their maverick, overbearing behaviour is tolerated. They are the “stadium jumper and skinny macho” pair of the Yokohama Chuo district. (Source: MyDramaList) ~~ Remake of German TV series "The Last Cop" (Der letzte Bulle) [2010]. Edit Translation

Reviews
I have never in my life watched something so absurd and ridiculous! If you need a good laugh but still want something sentimental and thrilling, this is absolutely the show for you!
I wanted to watch this drama mostly for Kubota Masataka, then I realized I was watching season two and completely missed the first season; although, that wasn't such a bad thing, because I could still get the general gist of the show. I have never laughed so hard in my life, from every single episode; I laughed and cried and was on the edge of my seat through the entire season.
The cast was fantastic, they worked well together to form a police department and a family. The more I watched, the more I fell in love with a few new actors, and soon enough, the entire cast! I recognized a few I already knew, but this drama introduced me to a few new people I've never met before, so I'm glad I started watching for Kubota Masataka and fell in love with the rest of the casting! I feel like if they expanded a bit on a couple of the season 2 episodes, the show could have possibly lasted for 12 episodes.
I had little to no idea what was going on with each plot; especially episode 7 until episode 10! Some episodes are absolutely insane and some fit right in with the "cop/detective/crime drama" genre. If you seriously want a laugh and not a serious crime drama, then watch this show; but if you're looking for something more dark, mysterious, and true-to-life for a detective show then this may not be the show for you. I have to say though, this is one of the best dramas I have watched in 2018!
