I dont get it!

I'm confused! Is her previously being fat, and having surgery on her face (because of an accident) really that big of a deal? I know the Asian countries aren't exactly kind to people who are overweight in their plots, but this one seems unrealistically excessive. None of the characters were written believably, their actions didnt make sense. It was a set of dramatic scense with a forced drive through strange twists in a jumbled plot to get from one to the next. Maybe the long version is better, but I'm not willing to risk 68 episodes in the hopes this trainwreck changes.

I’m really getting tired of Chinese dramas that treat women like garbage. What is up with these men? Do they really think women are so stupid that they have to talk down to them? Mi Mieli is a young woman who pines for an arrogant boss. He will never look at her until tragedy strikes and she’s forced to go through a transformation.

Clichés, plot holes, horrible set designs, a poorly written script, and general foolishness ensues. Characters disappear and reappear without explanation, and most of them really don’t do anything to further the plot.

The story itself could’ve been so much better if the writers had made better choices with the characters and the storyline. Our main hero has a dysfunctional relationship with his father and his past has shaped him to be who he is. However, the writers don’t really delve into a sincere storyline that allows him to grow and make peace with the people who hurt him. He comes off as a spoiled, petulant little boy from beginning to end.

Our heroine is one big doormat, getting hit from all sides. As much as the writers would have us believe that she becomes a stronger female in the end, she really is not. Her actions make no sense taking into account what she suffers at the hands of so many people. Rather than believe in her goodness because of this, I find her actually much more exasperating and disingenuous.

The only character I actually liked was the long suffering best friend. I believed in his kindness and love for our heroine and rooted for him the most.

I heard the original version of the series had over 60 episodes. Taking into account how poorly written the script was, I could never sit through that many episodes. Even cutting this down to 24 episodes couldn’t save this train wreck.

If you don’t want to be dissatisfied, avoid the Netflix version

Rain (Jeong Ji-hoon) brought me here. The FL was annoying as heck but Rain, the SM and SF made me stay. I saw the Netflix 24 episode version and the ending was absolute, complete, diabolical trash. The FL went through so much torcher from the ML and finally, the ending was tossed into the trash bin when the FL showed up to the ML’s company in a new job position and all they gave us was him smiling at her in approval. ONE MINUTE OR LESS OF a failed attempt of a happy ending. No drama infuriated me as much as the ending of this Netflix version. It will forever leave you with a permanent WTF expression every time you think of it.

This show was a hot mess!

I have never given a show this bad of a review before but I can’t help it! This was awful! I wish I never waisted my time!

I really liked the beginning of this show. And then it became a hot mess. The MFL loved the CEO but in the end she chose the life long friend. And the way the she was treated was awful! And she acted like an immature child half the time. It was almost sickening. It was all over the place with the story. I really did not want to finish it. But I just had to see how bad it got... and I was not disappointed! She left with her life long friend.

The main male lead I thought was the only good actor in it. I really like the main female lead but felt she did not fit this role.

I was really hating this show so bad I was about to throw my phone at the wall! My husband came in and saved it! ??I just have nothing nice to say about this show other than it started out promising... and then crashed bad!???‍♀️

Rewatch? Umm NO! I will not waist my time again on it.

I felt like something was missing with this cut version, and I didn't like it enough to want to go and watch the full version. But it is cute that the main actress and her best friend in this show are married in real life. I thought they had more chemistry than the two mains, and I think the best friend and Dilraba's character were actually supposed to be a couple in this? It made it hard to watch. I wanted to like it so much because I love Dilraba, but I couldn't do it.

I felt like the main actress was following around the main actor like a puppy dog and she came off like she was more OBSESSED with him than in love with him. There were so many random flashbacks about their first meeting before she got into her accident, that never happened in the cut version...so I was confused feeling like I missed something. When the main actor finally confessed to the main actress saying that he had liked her for a while, I was uncomfortable as nothing he did gave any indication that he did. Hence why I think the cut version is missing so much.

Diamond Lover (China) (2017) - this is another Chinese drama but what makes it different is that si Rain ang main lead, makes me engage with the drama faster compared to other Chinese dramas. Though awkward jud ang dubbing kang Rain, I feel kilig baya gihapon. I did watched only the special cut version of the drama which to I have no complaints. Though typical jud ang storyline sa drama, I did still enjoyed it. I don’t plan on watching the 60 episodes full drama of this because grabe ang werla sa online community sa ending, so stick rako ani.
