Both have adventure and a clear picture of where they are going and where they are at each point in time. The chemistry is also great in both, the MC's deeply love and understand each other. There is a strong political theme and several battle scenes but more in singing all along. Both have strong and smart FL's that are independent minded. And finally both have serious and tragic theme but there is more humor in legend of fuyao.

One of the greatest love stories and a brutal Road to get there. Gods, games, fighting, and sacrifice. A must see!

Birth secrets, great fight scenes and travelling around to unlock mystical secrets. Fu Yao is much closer to a Wuxia drama than a Xianxia drama, and the plot is much more straightforward, the dialogue much easier to understand, and most importantly, is not completely boring to watch. Fighter of the Destiny felt like 52 episodes of talking, and every character except for the Empress was one dimensional.

Please, for your own sake, drop this and go watch Fu Yao instead.

The royal family storylines and the female leads are a little similar. If you enjoyed the first 30 or so episodes of LoFY and like the 'ordinary' person turning out to be someone of great importance, than this is the drama for you.

The fight scenes and FL leveling up is also AWESOME

Smart strong leading characters, lots of fighting, all are children of important leaders, Female leads are both orphans who have another identity, male leads are investigating something, there are multiple different sects for both shows, they are on an adventure to finding out secrets...

Both series have a strong female lead who’s good at martial arts and also clever strategies. Male leads are also on par and play supportive characters and have their own arcs/secrets. Love Legend of Fu Yao and if Legend of the Female General stays similar to its novel counterpart then it definitely worth my hype.

- Both have strong female leads who are raised as servants/maids but they do not agree with their status and somehow end up practicing martial arts.

- Both women do not remember their past and have some type of past background which ends up with them being someone of significant power/lineage.

- Multiple men fawning over the female lead.

A subplot between the loyalty and brotherhood of two great characters. Revenge and Justice is a strong point of both drama's.

Both male leads are princes with honourable and strong characters, physically and intelectually that protect the female leads when need it, support them when needed it and match them in wits, skill and strategic thinking. All leads in their own way aim for peace.

The romance is somewhat similar. The plot to (hidden identity). Main lead is a bit of a playboy. But it also had everything I missed in this one.

Both are by the same author and the FL lead in TRoF is actually the last descendant from LoFY. Both have a brilliant and smart FL and ML but I really like the portrayal of the FL in TRoF. TRoF is more about politics and court intrigue and although LoFY also has that it also has stunning fight scenes. Also LoFY has a touch of fantasy/magic while TRoF is set in the world of mortals. The romance in TRoF is slow burn where in LoFY its all there. But both had leads with sizzling chemistry.

- strong FL;
- ML and FL are rulers;
- bickering relationship;
- similar costumes;
- FL does not know her identity

Both relationships between the leads are a similar playful push and pull and develop deeper as the drama goes on, along with the male leads only having one love interest. Less plotting in Legend of Yunxi, but it also deals with palace politics.
