AND HOW TF DID THEY MANAGE TO MAKE ONE OF THE MOST ANXIETY-RIDE TO HELL ABOUT SHARING MCQ ANSWERS. LOVE THE GENIUS ELABORATE MINDS OF THE DIRECTOR NAT AND SCREENWRITER VASU AND TANIDHA, THIS WAS WAY TOO SMART SMH!OMG this was so stressing I wanted to pull out my hair. But it was so fucking good...ALSO QUICK DETOUR TO THE ACTORS, I WAS SO SURPRISED TO HEAR THAT EVERYONE EXCEPT THE DAD WAS INEXPERIENCED IN THIS FIELD, AND DAMN, DID NO ONE EVEN GIVE A SIGN OF EVEN A SLIP, THAT'S HOW GREAT OF AN ACTOR EVERYONE WAS HERE ESPECIALLY MY THAI QUEEN CHUTIMON. FOR A MODEL-MADE ACTOR, THE WAY SHE MADE ME ROOT AND UNDERSTAND HER MORALLY AMBIGUOUS DECISIONS WAS SPECTACULAR. I LOVE LYNN'S MORALLY AMBIGUOUS CHARACTER AND HOW SHE MADE THE RIGHT CHOICE, IN THE END, TO COME CLEAN. SHE'S DEFINITELY A COMPLEX CHARACTER AND ONE HELL OF 200 IQ GENIUS~~~
I feel sorry for Bank though... I mean, it ruined him. If only they didn't drag him into that shit he would've gotten the scholarship and became successful while still being good and all... For Lynn, I love the character development. She's a smart girl and I'm proud of her, ALSO FUCK MYOU GRACE AND PAT YOU FALE ASS BITCHES. NONE OF YOU EVER CONSIDERED HER A FRIEND. LYNN DESERVED BETTER. GOOD THING NONE OF YOU WILL EVER MAKE IT TO COLLEGE ANYWAY. I love how Lyn realized that she should face her wrongdoings and admit to her mistakes. The touching part was her father supported her all the way but I felt sorry for Bank, money changed him. He was an honest person but he became corrupted. Lynn is my fav 100 IQ GENIUS CHARACTER EVER WRITTEN IN A MOVIE!! This movie is truly the best THAI movie I've ever watched.

Bad Genius turns out 2 be a simple story of student cheating - that will make you lose your breath. It’s also applauded for subtly tackling more serious topics like social class and Thai education.Bad Genius is a refreshing attempt at the heist genre that tackles one of the most mundane and boring tasks on planet Earth and makes a fantastically entertaining film out of it. I WOULD LIKE 2 APPLAUD THE WHOLE CAST 4 their impressive combination of elaborate visuals !!!
VERDICT_ Gave me an ADRENALINE-DRIVEN watch!!! A cleverly executed thriller that passes the test....TICK....The film flourishes through its simple narrative and taut editing.

It's not bad "genious", just bad movie...
As other reviews already mentioned, there's not much romantic tension here, most of the "thrill" here consists of watching details of ugly sweating foreheads of various students trying to cheat in tests, which is dramatized by use of slow motion or sharp music. Gee. The characters interactions was what made - at least at first - the movie interesting, certainly not the ways they were cheating, that was not actually very clever, certainly pretty far from "genious". But what to do, when the test itself is kinda stupid. I mean, to tick one of 4 possible answers for written questions? They would have to answer open questions, not be given 4 options (then even the random luck then can give you some points: points you don't deserve). Also we all know it's not sufficient to pass WRITTEN tests. Therefore all this movie's drama about checking A, B, C, D is kinda to be obsolete. And all the creative planning this movie's characters did to cheat test? If they put the exact time and effort into actually learning the studied subject, then - besides actually having something useful in their heads - it couldn't possibly be harder, right? I mean, the stuff they did LOL I had to laugh when they tried to make an "action movie" out of this (the whole Sydney part) including hot pursuit to the bathroom or subway station:-p I wasn't thrilled, I just laughed. Just as nonsensical were this movie's scriptwriters, so were the characters. Apart from (needlessly) becoming frauds, they all could get money/good grades easier.Was this review helpful to you?

What a Thrilling Ride...

Kong from The Bangkok PostA thrilling, suspenseful and innovative take on the heist genre that made me want to take a standardized test myself lol. Who knew a film about cheating could be this riveting? I was on the edge of my seat the entire time and my eyes were glued to the screen. I couldn't look away, even if I wanted to. The acting was impressive. The fact that the main cast are newcomers is all the more impressive. The cinematography razor-sharp. The editing though. The EDITING THOUGH! Freaking exceptional! Though there were a few questionable plot points such as how Lynn's father knew to go to that printer address and why is the head of the exam was willing to chase a 'possible' cheater all the way to the train station and why didn't Lynn hide in a women's bathroom instead of trying to run away from him, especially since she was busy texting the answers. Anywho, as many others have said, the ending was a cop-out with its "cheating is bad" message which felt out-of-place and completely unnecessary in this film. Lynn should have said yes to Bank' offer, especially since she was the mastermind behind the STIC cheat and the one who pulled Banks into it. She owed him, but suddenly she got a moral conscience at the end and didn't even take the money. Like what? Her choice didn't make sense, especially since she got caught the first time around yet still accepted to help other cheat on the STIC for the right price. Anyways, I've heard that a Bad Genius series is going to come out soon! I cannot wait to see it and wonder if it will be a sequel to Lynn and Bank' story or a reboot. I hope that it's a continuation. I would love to see Banks and Lynn pursue a relationships with one another.

É um filme que traz lições. Vale tudo por dinheiro? Quem usa a inteligência a serviço do mal é bandido comum? Você se corromperia por qual valor? Muitas questões em aberto. Mais uma vez, já no início da carreira o Nonkul Chanon mostra para o que veio. Que grande ator! Somente no final ainda permanecia minha dúvida, o que Lynn faria? Entra para a lista de mais um filme sobre educação/estudantes/comportamento de nacionalidade tailandesa que bota para pensar.
