Finally got finished to watch this drama. At first, I still hesitate to watch this drama because most of the review about this drama are not really positive. But, I still watch this because of Yang Shuo (I've been watched him at Ode to Joy) and Gu Li Na (because yes she is so pretty and reminds me to Dilraba). And what I really like about this drama is their fashion.

This is a story about getting revenge - misunderstanding between friends and lovers. The story is excited all the way until half of their episode. I got bored and tired for some point because too many stories behind it, too many supporting cast stories, and unnecessary things. Overall, I still think this drama worth to watch especially if you like business theme drama. And I really like Cen Wei looks and character. She is pretty, hardworking, capable, and know what she wants. Her friendship with Yi En is also great although it has some misunderstanding.

To sum up, this drama wasn't terrible at all. I recommend this drama if you are having free time to watch because it's still a long drama and too dragging because the problems never end (yes until the last episode). However, this is the kind of drama that you watch once and not want to watch again.

I was really excited to start watching this series because it just seems so intriguing and interesting. The beginning started off pretty well. I did get a bit of the déjà vu in terms of fashion designer meets person then you know the rest although There is a different plot to it. I got really frustrated watching the series from episode one to 23 because I had no idea what was going on and there were too many side plots that left me wondering who is really who And what’s going on. Although some people may like the whole mystery who done it vibe, I do not. Initially I found this series entertaining until we got to around episode 6. The female lead was being portrayed as a strong individual however she turns into a weak minded naive person and at times she absolutely does seem like she’s lost her mind due to love and needs to be admitted to a mental institution. Just not my cup of tea. I began skipping scenes because it seem like they didn’t add any value to the actual story or plot and after a while it just started to get a little bit boring. The writers have managed to stretch this series out to 58 episodes which is extremely too long for a drama of this caliber. By episode 25 you sort of know which way the wind will blow and watching 28 more feels like to much of a commitment for this relationship. Can’t recommend this to my romantics, not at all. Giving it a a lower rating because the female changed from a smart and elegant woman to someone who has completely no self control or foundation. Not cute at all. I honestly stopped at episode 38. I really wanted to finish it. I had invested so much time already however by episode 38 I didn’t even care how it would end. I did not care who was who or who would win. I didn’t care who would end up together and who would end up alone. That is how bad it got for me while watching this. The plat guide old so fast and it was no longer entertaining. I honestly could not tell you what the point was. Nothing made sense. After 38 something should make sense but no. In truth the female lead begin to wonder about the real identity of the male lead but by that point for me it really didn’t matter if he was who she thought he was or someone else. But hole storage is ran into the ground and there was no redeeming quality remaining after episode six. This is officially my first time dropping a series after watching this many episodes. Literally. But I stopped once I realized that I was not amused or interested. I let go. If you are hopeless romantic this one is not for you. If you are looking for action this one is not for you. If you’re looking for some amazing chemistry this is not for you. If you’re looking for a budding romance this is not for you. If you’re looking for cute banter between the leads this is not for you. If you’re looking for confusing revenge you’ll enjoy it.

Most reviews for this drama aren't very positive, so I thought I'd offer a different point of view. If you hesitate to watch this drama because you have heard things like "the ending ruins it", I would say: Don't be scared! It's really not that "bad". This drama does suffer from a common drama affliction: the writer adds a few very unnecessary things in the last few episodes that should not have been there, but it's not fair to dismiss the whole drama because of it. It's not "the perfect drama", but for me it was very enjoyable and definitely worth my time.

The plot… well, this needs to be said: The plot is based on some unbelievable things. As you can read from the synopsis, the male lead has had a facial surgery to the point of being completely unrecognisable even by his loved ones. Can you believe it? No? Well, are you at least willing to pretend to believe it for the sake of entertainment? If the answer is yes, then go on and watch this! This drama is long, but it took some time before finally all pieces of the puzzle were put together, and I was genuinely interested and curious about what was going on. They really did create a mystery that grabbed my attention. Some people say it is confusing but I disagree - the story was easy to follow and it was very easy to remember who all the characters were. I wasn't bored while watching this, except once or twice in the last few episodes! Well, there were too many flashbacks where characters were in deep thoughts about something that very recently happened... such things are a bit annoying.

I liked the main characters and their friendships and romances. For the most part of the drama, I really appreciated that there was very little of the usual annoying things like love rivalry, meddling parents and other things. I like it when characters are good friends who support each other! It's just that they did add two completely unnecessary characters that took up screentime, added drama and made this longer than necessary in the second half. They could have skipped that. Well, there are more "surprise! I'm a new character in this drama!" additions in the later half or even the last third of the drama, but most of them are essential to the major plotline. And there was one character that developed in a kind of strange way. The motivations should have been explored more to make what happens more believable, but at the same time it was nice... So I'll call it okay.

The cast of this drama wasn't familiar to me before I started it, except Yang Shou whom I've seen twice before. This drama has made me appreciate him more as an actor. I think he really nailed it with all the different emotions. The romance was believable and the tension between the two leads - especially before she knew! - was tangible. Overall the acting was good.

On a more superficial level, things were nice to look at for the most part. French scenery... Interesting fashion (mix of beautiful, weird and hideous) and yes, the people, too.

Most of the time I don't care a lot about the music in dramas, but here there was a song that I really liked! The rest of the music was also okay.

At some point, I think my enjoyment was up there at level 9, but some things in the plot were just way too hard to believe in. I was more forgiving of some things than some previous viewers on Viki, but when things get too over the top you just can't take the drama seriously enough to love it unconditionally. Some things in the last episodes were stupid, to be honest, but with all these pros and cons, I thought this drama was worth 8.5 as my overall impression. Not as good and as lovable as some, but definitely good enough for me to appreciate the time I've spent on it. I posted a version of this review on my feed right after completing it, but as I found myself thinking about the drama a week later, I thought I should post a review, so I edited my notes. I don't rewatch, but will I remember this a couple of years from now? I think so… maybe because it was a kind of crazy story, but also because it was a pretty nice watch.

Yang Shuo

To be honest, I'm only watching it because Yang Shuo is in it sad I know. I've got 58 episode to watch his dimples and his great smile ❤️?❤️? I wish there was more romance, so far there is none. l'm only 13 episode in, now I watch all of 58 episode. First I was a bit sceptical I thought 58 episode was too long as I said before because of Yang Shuo why I'm watching this. In the end I loved it. There is a lot of twist turns high lows just keep with the guys you will love it in the end.

Drama is lengthy and has few romantic scene

One misunderstanding creates disaster in everyone life but misunderstanding had been created in this drama which entangled many life as well as each one live with this trauma for five years keeping smile on their face and looking for the truth . When truth was came out some of their life became mess.

Story is good but length.
Acting is good ,every character did great job.
Views were very nice .
Efforts had been seen.
Little romance
Twist and turn in the drama .
I like everything in the drama but if they add more romance among each couples so the length of the drama not get bored. Last scene I didn't understand that after surgery he loat his memories that's why she said she misses him but very last scene confused me.

Good story worth to watch till the end

Overall the story was good. It keep us suspense from the beginning till the end. Full of surprises. However, the actor that they find for qi lei is so not right since he doesn't resemble yang shuo ( actor for lu zhun) at all. The story, they suppose to be the same person. Even the height and voice are very far different. They ahould find someone with the same height and body type. The character of yi en was good to watch in the beginnig, but toward the end it seems like she lost her confident and smart aswell.. she is not as smart as before . Mo xu is the best character in this story since he is so loyal to his friend and lover. Overall is worth to watch if you can ignore the difference of the voice and body built of this two actors ( yang shuo and gao taiyu)

Project Runway meets the Apprentice

For the first ten episodes, I kept thinking that I was going to drop this show. And at the end of each one, I wasn't sure why I was still watching. But I kept going--just one more and then another and another. I liked the variety of clothing from the runways to the characters' everyday lives. And I really wanted to know whether the ML was "good" or "bad" because he was presented so ambiguously. So now I'm done, but I'm still not sure it was worth my time. Here's my glance down from 10,000 feet.

1. PLOT- Although sometimes confusing, the flashbacks were well integrated without being overly repetitive. Fairly early on, I guessed the "man behind the curtain" who was malevolently orchestrating everything, but a couple twists really surprised me. I enjoyed the fleshed out secondary and tertiary relationships, but I think they probably could have edited these a bit more tightly--perhaps down to 53 or 54 episodes. The 2ML's confusion about friendship and love was particularly drawn out. And the typical "everything was my fault" narrative emerges over and over fro m different characters. Three people felt responsible for the pivotal and fatal auto accident from 5 years earlier.

2-SETTING- I appreciated that the story was spread across two countries: China and France. And rather than be trapped in the stereotypical Paris, Marseilles was the primary French location. On top of that, the fashion shows were a delight to watch and the integration of technology felt en pointe. While the product placement (1734 wine, nutritious nuts for snacking, the AC fir VP Shao) felt imposed rather than integrated with the story, it didn't totally derail the story, Finally, office gossip was a bit overused for scene setting within the company.

3-CHARACTERIZATION- while a few characters felt fairly flat (evil mastermind, 3rd & 4th couples), several were explored with some depth. I was particularly interested in the portrayal of someone with autism and then someone moving toward a mental breakdown with OCD. The third of four couples showed a noona relationship where the F was 28 and the M was 23. That one seemed the least probable of the 4, simply because she was so abrasive and verbally abusive early in the relationship. Yet the young man kept pursuing her.

Locations

The 3 lead were fantastic. Gulnezeer was stiff as usual in her movies.
Ye zi’s special needs accommodations was very modern and unique. Is this fictitious or China has moved well in advane in alternative accommodation for people with disability? If this was real, would like to know location and name of this place.
Gulnezeer is lovely, clothings are modern, she is too stiff. More like a model than an entrepreneur

Yang zhaou and Wang Dong we’re good so was Jeremy Jones Wu.

Story: once in a life love, death, STARK -RAVING rich folk using $$ for replacement love. This is the core of the mess. Face transplants? Body swaps? EVIL teacher-friend ( who I never understood his motive at all.)
Acting/Casting: My draw was the ML Shao, he was perfect for this role of lover, fashionisto, just an overall SMEXY man. The FL was ice-queen who needs MORE acting classes and presence to be with the likes of the ML. The basket of other actors left NO lasting impression or proof of their acing abilities.
Music: lets move on. Nothing meaningful for me nor memorable of the story.
RW: NOT in this lifetime!
Overall: this story was too many eps! 58 was only for sponsors. Content was about 28-32eps worthy. Again, my main draw was the ML (since meeting him Ode 2Joy 1 &2) he deserved better story and actors. Face transplants, body swaps, killing for greed, last minute near death, silly adult scenes of poor communication, misunderstandings( too tedious& formulaic to detail) . This drama had potential and lost you quickly at 18eps. At the end, I never got a satisfying resolution to why the teacher-friend "POOCHED" & KILLED ? Drama title rename: "Fashionable Fu&kery"!

I liked the styling of this drama that's why I was drawn to the series. There were a couple of great scenes. The tango scene was awesome. Also the dance scene when the power was out. Glitz and glam of the fashion industry. Goes from crisis to crisis. The acting was okay with some of the more powerful actors doing a better job. I did find the plot very confusing trying to figure out what was going on. Too many side stories. I lost my interest. I did skip to the end just to find out. I watched 1 - 15 and the final episode.
